Hairdorables Longest Hair Ever Dolls Worth the Price?

‘Kajinkers’ are actually called Dennisons. When I was 15 and had my first job at Marshalls we used Dennison guns to attach the price tags to the clothing! In the toy industry we use Dennisons to hold outfits and accessories in place in package so that toys can pass the drop and transit tests ( You test 10 to 12 boxes and drop them 50 times to see what will come loose while the doll is being shipped from overseas. Whatever comes loose gets sewn down or ‘Dennisoned’ more securely so that it can pass the transit test.

It's a shame that Just Play has moved from essentially all cardboard packaging to all plastic with these. It's so unnecessary. They're cute but I'm not a fan of really long hair on dolls (unless it's Rapunzel). But I could see that little kids would like these.

I tottaly agree the main reason I was happy to get these for my daughter was the reusable packaging. This is just so wasteful.

Paper alternatives are very expensive. For example paper straws are triple the price of plastic straws. Using paper (or biodegradable material) still harms the environment. Some plastics are recyclable but I see your point. Using plastic is better for the economy but fixing the environment is more expensive; if companies could afford biodegradable packaging (they usually can’t because they’re being massed produced) it would benefit the economy and the environment in the long run. but it’s really too hard for us to make that change.

@@SonniDez plastic is never good it can say its recyclable but in actual fact it still ends up in our oceans and takes many years to break down and by then the damage is done. Plastic bottles are recyclable but they are also one of the main things found in oceans.

Totally Hair Barbie was also the top selling Barbie Doll at one point and time. I'm not sure if she still is or not though. She was mine and my cousin's favorite too.

I was told as a kid that if we ever found our presents that they would go back to the store. My mom doesn’t mess around with things like that. She would have taken it back and we wouldn’t have had anything for Christmas. So we never looked. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I have easily 100 hairdorables. I was happy to see Kali is one of these. Shes my favorite character. I use headpiece with the masquerade version instead. These are hysterical and theyre supposed to be. And rayne actually has orange and green in her hair with this one. A true rainbow. A small piece of tape around her waist helps keep her from bending at the waist with hair weight. A little white paint helps bring out the details of Noahs headpiece. I didnt realize it was fish at first.

I used to find it more difficult to style hair that is longer than the doll itself, it's like the doll is a small light thing attached to the end of a long heavy thing, and it can be a little bit obnoxious to work with. I'm hoping the stand really helps. It was nice of them to include that at least.

Ten inches of hair on a doll used to seem like a lot . . . Until I rebooted a custom Barbie doll with hair that reaches the floor, even when she's in heels. So, like, almost 12" of hair. ^u^; It's so fun to play with, and there's so much that I can put it into pretty much any style and still hide bald spots. Seriously, long haired dolls require a lot of care because of tangling, but it's so fun to play with.

totally remember Crystal Gayle, and the Christmas presents wouldn't come out until like a week before Christmas and displayed under the tree(Santa gifts were unwrapped on the couch Christmas morning because hey, he didn't have time to wrap!) And I was terrible about unwrapping half of the present to see what it was before wrapping it back up. My dad can't wrap which is where my skills apparently come from so I mean....I wouldn't correct my mother when she criticized his present wrapping, haha.....

i LOVE how we can tell who we’re getting by looking at the front of the box that’s why i love na na na dolls because they’re unique ( for a mainstream doll company) and i LOVE the outfits and accessories and we can tell who we are getting by the symbols i wish the LOLs had that because i love them but i hate the fact that i could pay over 13 dollars for a doll and get a double 😤😭😅

I liked hairdorables for my daughter because they never used as much plastic as the LOL dolls but this just puts me off them now such a shame. I'm not a fan of lol outfits so I'm not going to go back to them but I also won't buy these for her now either. Such ashame they have chose to start using so much plastic insted of the wee cardboard playsets. We wouldn't have any need for the big can either so it's all just waste.

I do think kids can notice quality (of lack thereof) in their toys. as a kid I had a my little pony fluttershy that for some reason had the nastiest tangled tail ever, no amount of brushing or fabric softener could fix it. On the other hand I never had anything like that happen to my monster high dolls.

Years ago my step dancer teacher had hair down to her feet. She would pile it high on her head and I would always wonder if her head would ever hurt so I asked her and she said she got used to it. It would take her six hours to wash it. She taught my niece last year and then it was almost to her butt as she got it cut and donated the hair to wigs for kids. She still wore it high on her head.
