I'm so glad you warn people that bleach is not to be taken lightly. I had a patient who bleached her hair at home, fell asleep, and it dripped into her eyes, and now she has significant vision loss in both eyes 😢 Also, aloe vera or a product called burnshield hydrogel work well for superficial burns of the skin.

I had bleached front pieces white in high school (in the late 90’s!) and even at 15 I knew enough to have my mom take me to someone to have it done professionally so I didn’t look ridiculous attempting it myself. Looking back I am SO thankful to my mom for that!!

I grew up in my mother's salon. I was her color test "dummy" every summer. We tried for blonde so many times but never achieved it because my hair has SOOOO much red. The best we could do was a strawberry blonde but even that wasn't the color Mom wanted. I had platinum blonde as a lil kid but it turned dark brown b4 my 10th birthday. But as I said Mom used me to do color testing so I've had my hair every color of the rainbow b4 it was a cool thing to do. I've not had my hair processed in 30 years now and even though I'm 63 my hair has not gone gray while both my older and younger sisters have gone really gray but both have continued to process their hair. I'm happy with my mousey brown

I've just gone from copper to blonde using advice from a number of your videos. I faded the colour over quite a few weeks by just washing my hair and used a Malibu CPR. I bleached with Blonde Me powder and Blonde Me 7 volume developer, and it worked so well! I used a level 8 toner and got a lovely, shiny natural blonde - new green, no brass 😊

I love watching your videos, you’re a great teacher. I have very rare hair, I have never beached it. I loved my dark brown hair. What I didn’t like was that it was fine and extremely straight, would not hold a curl. I could sleep on rollers all night and when I took them out of my hair the curl was gone in less than 15 minutes. I’m 65 and my hair is still mostly brown, a little lighter because there is a little white in it. In my family our hair goes white not gray.

The last time I had any dye touch my hair was probably 11-13 years ago. 2 years ago I was able to donate 21 inches of hair. Now I’m getting more gray or white (I can’t tell the way it looks against my hair) and I think about trying blonde all the time and the main reason I never have is because I am terrified to do it at home and I don’t want to go to just any place to get it done. You have only instilled that I cannot and shouldn’t do it at home.

When my kid was 13yo they were severely burnt by a hairstylist bleaching their hair. Their scalp has some gnarly scars and at 24yo they still hurt to touch. Their scalp tends to be dry, they have pretty thick, coarse hair, but it wasn’t their first rodeo. We found we had to add coconut oil to their scalp prior to bleaching/dying their hair. We’ve had no problems since. And yes, we use 20 volume. But they won’t let anyone lighten/dye their hair besides me now.

I once Got burned in an bleaching. My whole scalp was like is was on FIRE the entire time. When the time was coming to flush my bleach out. A customer , a little boy with his mum came in the salon. The hairdresser had forgotten all about him or they lied and was a walk in. But then she postponed me. And made a Cut on the boy instead because his mother was An entitled KAREN type. So I sad there. And for every second I waisted. The pain Got more and more intense. I suffleres. It was torture. Pind needles fire booking water it felt as though it all happend to my scalp. And when she came back. And flashes my hair. The hair was falling of. Every time she stopped the cool water on my scalp. It began to BURN LIKE MADNESS again. I was crying vi tried to lay Down on my head on the pillow that night. It was like trying to lay on very short beard. The one whick stings when kissing. My scalp was like that. At last I called ambulance. And Got treated for my servere Burns. I lost ALL MY HAIR 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
