Lauren here from the 31:05 video clip! 1. Was laughing so much at your reaction, can confirm I am an IDIOT when it comes to hair & after this I will never self-bleach my hair again. 😂💀 2. Filmed that video 2 years ago & can confirm that 2 years later I am STILL working on fixing the damage. I did eventually bleach it again off camera a week or so later & it looked a lot better. BUT it literally all became straw and then broke off months later & so the under layer of my hair was shorter then the rest of my hair for a very long time. Happy to say its finally almost all grown out & my hair is a lot healthier & happier now that I’m not doing it myself anymore. 1 out of 10, would not recommend, will never do again. 💜

Bleach the ends and mids until it is yellow/pale yellow before the roots because its not based just on time. Also, every hair type is different and other factors will depend on what happens to your hair when bleaching/coloring. For example, hormones, medications, and if you smoke pot can affect how your hair will come out. I will say I went to school to learn that, but I learned most of my bleaching before school from Brad Mondo. So thank you Brad Mondo! You have helped me so much through school ❤

Brad washed my 4c past shoulder length when straightened hair for the first wash one week after applying Xmondo super gloss clear. Hardly no detangling needed, hardly no hair in comb. Once again AMAZING. Brad ya gotta figure out how to get more 4c hair women to find out about thus. I've told a few of my friends but they don't have 4c hair. Okay everybody and me: when you are lighting your hair. First apply to the mid and end of your hair. Do NOT even THINK about your roots! Only focus on mids and ends untill you have reached the desired result, even if it takes a week. When your mids and ends are done, NOW is the time to do your roots. I do enjoy that almost (not all the time), all the time (myself included) folks pick up key points from various videos and all the individual points are all.. .in their way.. important. But when it comes time to put it all together to get the job done, some points must have stuck out as more important than others. Like someone will register that they need to do the ends first and work back up to the roots. Check! But then they're including foil... umm okay, that's cool (hot?) . But, it's a fistful of hair going into the foil. So, right on about ends to roots. And okay about foils. But the thin sections for the foils gets lost in the process. Not judging. The shit is hard. And so much of it is just figuring it out as you go. You mess up this or that. It sucks, but you can learn from it and try something else the next time around letting those mistakes inform your next moves! So bravo to all y'all because playing with bleach is rough and stuff can go sideways real fast. But do not let that stop you if you want to get better at it! Onward into the breach (bleach?)

I went with a bleach with color lifter and bleached three times and used the toner she has and I started out with black hair with brown natural roots it came out great!! I love it cut my hair after and love it! I needed a change but I’ve been doing my hair all my life so bout 20 yrs or so and I was nervous but it came out great. I’ve tried salon with blonde hair and left with it orange and glowing lol and said never again haha
