I used to help care for an elderly lady with end stage vascular dementia (she passed away several months ago). Before the pandemic we used to get a stylist who would make house calls to cut her hair. She stopped doing that during the pandemic. I started watching your tutorials so I could give her trims without just sticking a bowl on her head & cutting around the edges. Just kidding, I never did that! 😂 But I was intimidated at trying to keep her short pixie cuts looking fresh & stylish. Your videos were a huge help to the point that I now cut my family's hair. I've taken your advice & have purchased all the proper tools (hair scissors, thinning shears, clips, etc.). None of us have visited a salon for months. I even gave myself a wolf cut not too long ago because I got tired on having just one length (down to my waist). I have super thick & coarse "Asian" hair (being half Japanese). I noticed it's much drier & a bit on the frizzy side now that I've transitioned to natural gray hair. Well, it's more "salt & pepper" with silver streaks throughout. I use purple shampoo & conditioner to keep the yellow tones at bay & even though I let the conditioner sit for awhile it still feels dry, especially on the ends. Today I received a jar of your XMONDO Super Gloss treatment & I can't wait to try it out! 😁 Thanks for the great tutorials, product reviews, & especially the humorous reaction videos. I always look forward to new uploads as you really help to brighten my day. I've been in a very dark place since losing my daughter a few years ago. She died one month before her 31st birthday & it's been challenging to say the least. So thank you very much, you're the best! 💜🤩

I used to work with a razor that looked a lot like a comb. One time a client that was waiting for her appointment took it off my work station while I was working on a client next to her and started combing her hair. She went from a long bob to a pixie cut that day and she learned never to touch anyone's tools again 🙄

My dad had one of those! One day little kid me was looking for a comb and grabbed it- I ran it through my hair and was in complete shock when a whole chunk of hair fell to the floor! Being a tiny kid, I thought I had experienced random hair loss for a second and assumed I must have some secret fatal disease until my dad explained what I had done.

we have glitter spray for little girls to put in their hair, it comes in a little aerosol can right. This lady comes in one day and starts opening our station drawers looking for something- idk what- but then she grabs the glitter spray and goes to town on her hair. My coworker goes up to her and says "ma'am can you not use so much of the glitter we don't have much left". This lady was like THATS GLITTER? I THOUGHT IT WAS HAIRSPRAY, IS THERE A LOT? my coworker said "yes ma'am its everywhere" lmfaoo also a lesson not to touch shit xD

I have some of these. I had no idea that was a thing. I’m assuming it came with a hair cutting kit I ordered. My 2 year old got it out of the drawer and asked me to brush her hair. Like I said I didn’t realize what they were. I used them on her hair and mine before I realized what it was. Thankfully I just did a small spot because she was only wanting to play and not actually brushing her hair. It was such a small spot thankfully it wasn’t noticeable on either of our hair.

Here’s another great way to get one of those circular brushes out of your hair: get a little pair of jewelry snips or sturdy small sharp scissors and cut the tines of the brush off. You can usually just slip your hair right out once the brush has no more bristles. Be careful to not cut your hair, it’s very important to loosen the hair as best as you can using a rat-tailed comb so you can cut the bristles under it. Even if you can only cut above the hair, a little gentle wiggling and loosening with the comb can get your hair out.
@FionaAlison444 Жыл бұрын
This! Or use some pliers and pull the bristles out. You don't need to cut your hair!

I was getting ready for a rehearsal dinner and tried to blow out my hair the way my stylist did. I got the brush stuck in my long hair right on my scalp. I went to 2 different salons and was told to never use that kind of brush on my hair (yeah, figured it out) and there was nothing they could do. They also took a picture at one of the salons. I finally went another salon that was opposite of a hardware store. I then had a brain storm and went into the hardware store (with a brush stuck to my head)and bought some wire cutters. One of the stylists was nice enough to cut the bristles off the brush. My scalp was red, but my hair was saved.

You poor things! It's painful, especially for kids. I was wondering if the tangled brush lady could - as long as she feels like sacrificing the brush - carefully cut the brush spikes/boars hair a little at a time, being careful to not also cut her hair in the process. (Combining the process with some conditioner.) Especially when this happens with little kids who are so tender-headed. That might be doable with nail scissors if the tines are visible enough, you know?

A very good tip to getting a stuck hairbrush out of your hair (if you don't have a tail comb or something similar) is to take a fork and gently start lifting the hairs from the brush. It might take an hour or more depending on the amount of tangle, but you will save your hair. I have used this trick to save my little sisters hair and saved their hair successfully every time.

I so wish it were possible to attach a photo of myself to a youtube comment right now. Tonight my husband really wanted to go to a chic little bistro down the street from us, but I had rolled my hair up in brightly colored flexi-rods and I knew that if I took them out, I wouldn't have the strength to put them back in since my disability takes a toll on me doing those kinds of activities. He was so excited, and the surprise date night was so sweet, I couldn't say no. So I searched the apartment and found an old beanie and worked it onto my head over the rods, thinking I'd just look kinda grunge casual. It wasn't until we were outside that I caught a glimpse of just how f*cking insane I actually looked. The rods made giant lumps and stuck out the sides of what looked more like a tea kettle cozy than a hat. I looked deranged. Thankfully, living in West Hollywood and being pushed in my admittedly shabby old wheelchair, people mostly just assumed I was a mentally ill person living on the streets and were probably just glad I didn't ask them for a dollar. But damn, as soon as I saw my reflection I realized this was no longer going to be the kind of date night that ends in anything remotely sexy or romantic. All night I watched my husband desperately trying not to laugh at the expression on every waiter and customer's faces when they caught sight of me. In other words, sometimes a hat just doesn't cut it.

@@allyma3 it’s the video itself that looks fake, not that somebody would wax their baby hairs in the first place.
@victoriadburns Жыл бұрын
To me it kinda looks like a human hair wig because when she went to pull the wax, she didn’t hold her skin down she held her hair down. Pretty sure her eyebrows are those eyebrow wig things too

I've been wearing a wolfcut style but I get it professionally layered and not just unicorn ponytail. I have to say- when I initially got the haircut, I hated it and it was always in a ponytail. After it grew for a year, but I maintained and trimmed the same style, I now love wearing it down. It's much fuller looking and I have a lot more movement and wave. Sometimes women just don't have hair long enough to rock the short layer look yet. I'd say almost boob length is when it starts to look cohesive enough with wolfcut layers. It helped that I grew out my bangs too.

A series where you ban people who not only fail epically, but commit the worst hair crimes--I would watch the hell out of that.

@@randomperson6433 🤦♀️ I thought I replied, but nope because I have the attention span of a chihuahua! 🤣 The book is called ‘The Trouble with Hector’ by Jacqueline Kirk. The character Brad inspired doesn’t come appear until chapter 33 but it is worth the read through because he is the BEST character 😁 and I’m not just saying that because I’m biased 🤭

1) YOU’RE looking beautiful! 2) I do think it was a deliberate hairstyle for AJ. If you look at the back of the dress, one side is higher going into the middle than the other. That short layer she has is at an angle, going away from the lower backside of her dress. The whole thing is a layered asymmetrical look.

Hi Beautiful! Love hearing that every time! Brad Mondo you inspired me a year ago now to cut off my almost waist length mousy hair and bleach it! I went full pixie cut (Jamie Lee Curtis style) and yes with a professional. However I also bleached (at home) up to a classic silver. I love it! and have tried my best to maintain the cut! Getting ready to bleach again since now all the last one is all grown out. Done well enough (with your tutorials) that the cutting over time did not leave banding or obvious grow out. My job requires a "natural color" so I am again going silver. Thanks for all your inspiration/tutorials on how to NOT mess it up! I studied your reacts videos and took what you said for my gospel to ensure success! Keep doing what you do here, many of us are learning.

1 tip for the round brush getting stuck in your hair. Put a bunch of conditioner in her hair. On the brush and in the hair around the brush. Then take a ratting comb like you demonstrated. The conditioner will help loosen the hair and will make it hopefully easier to untangle.

When I was like 11 or so, i got a tiny round brush stuck in my hair in the shower... I had an abusive mother and let me tell you.. I was more terrified to tell her that I needed her help to get it unstuck... to this day, i have never used a round brush since.
