I have a theory about why her hair fell out that quickly: she put a hair tie in it before applying the bleach and basically soaked the part where the hair tie sat. Hair tie puts stress on bleach processing hair which is already very brittle > hair snaps right at the hair tie.
@mailisha272 жыл бұрын
Plus she had it on for a hour and half. Given all of the crap she has done to her hair. It’s possible that it’s previously lightened, and she dyed it over.
@lordmysticlaw19912 жыл бұрын
I definitely think the hair tie played a big role
@martinurtolamua2 жыл бұрын
It snapped right off the part where the previous red dye was. In my opinion those parts were previously bleached, dyed red and dyed dark brown which makes it super compromised and re-bleaching those parts made the hair break off + the stress from the hair tie but the hair tie may have had a lesser effect.
@nicolorange2 жыл бұрын
I agree, the tight hair tie was too much stress on hair that was already jelly. Chemical hair cut. The same thing happens when bleach blonde hair is tied up wet over and over and the hair tie cuts through the hair.
@kaykilltastrophe2 жыл бұрын
I'm a cosmetologist (7 yrs) and came here to comment the exact same thing lol Bleach damages the bonds of your hair, the stress from the hair tie and the softened bonds is definitely why it snaps off.

The part where you say there’s a whole hand book has me thinking you should really consider writing an ‘easy guide’ book on how to apply bleach, color and style hair. Love you ❤️
@Mks719992 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's that easy to make such an "easy guide" since most hair experts despite studying for years learn from years of practical experience, trial and error and apprenticeship, if it was that simple then there wouldn't be a need for a salon, same is the case for any other profession. Btw I'm not exactly trying to negate you, it's just I personally don't think that's possible, someone could try but I'm sure the book would be quite huge if they write down ALL the tips and tricks and signs and exceptions etc. No hate here, just sharing an opinion, have a nice day/night 💜
@christabelkaina28462 жыл бұрын
Hi Mmkay, thank you so much for your insight. I definitely agree that it’s a practice that requires a lot of time and concentration to perfect. I also don’t think it should replace the professionalism that skilled hairdressers like Brad have but I mean easy guide as in the instructions could be easily followed. It would also only have to cover how to do basic stuff like when you bleach your roots you could section your hair in this and that way, how long to leave the bleach on and so on. Just basics that are easy to follow if you’re not able to see a professional at the time because people really don’t seem to get even the surface level information that Brad constantly tells us. Kind regards! 🥰
@KELLYBEAN08122 жыл бұрын
That’s the point of his channel… his channel is the handbook
@dragonixheli54742 жыл бұрын
@@christabelkaina2846 I think Brad should do another video on sectioning because obviously people have problems with that 😂 But a "simple" guide would be an impossible challenge as bleaching and coloring is an artform, there is no time stamp for how long bleach should sit due to different hair textures, colors, thickness, history ect. That's why it is so hard, bleaching is all about seeing the right moment to stop which, as Brad said, is a very fine line to reach. An easy guide would not be able to consider for example how a white person with short, fine and colored hair should use bleach vs a black person with long coarse natural hair. And also you can see how much Brad says to use enough bleach for years now and people still don't use enough even though they are viewers so clearly, it doesn't help much 😂
@christabelkaina28462 жыл бұрын
@@dragonixheli5474 Personally, I would love to have a copy of something that would give me an idea of what I would be getting myself into than going in completely blank and just slapping everything on. Even telling us it depends on textures and instinct is better than not knowing anything at all. The aim is not to perfect or to claim you’re a hairdresser after reading the book. Chefs go for years perfecting their skills but still produce cook books for people to try out at home, it doesn’t mean you’ll become a culinary master or do it exactly like them because there’re certain techniques that you just cannot get on the first try but there’s other things like adding an ingredient to a bowl or separating eggs that even the chef knows you can do so they give that information to you. Brad does provide that for us through his platform but I can still see myself owning a book on some of the things he tells us in his videos, including the ones like the wolf cut and butterfly cut. I hope you understand where I’m coming from. You’re right, I think it’s also just about people not being able to take the information. Thanks! ❤️

In case you’re wondering why people are commenting on Brad’s necklace: Balenciaga, a luxury brand with a reputation for being edgy and tasteless for attention, did something edgy and tasteless and got WAY more attention than they bargained for. The company is currently learning an incredibly expensive lesson about advertisements and why they need to be checked by several pairs of eyes before they get published. If you want to judge their mistakes for yourself, Google it - you’ll find several articles and images. Brad Mondo, a KZbinr with a reputation for wearing luxury brands, wore a Balenciaga necklace in a video that was posted around the time that the backlash was beginning, but was probably filmed and edited days if not weeks earlier. TL;DR: There are people in the comments upset that Brad wore a disgraced brand’s merchandise BEFORE they were disgraced.

I was kinda scared my hair was gonna fall out because of how much bleach she put in my hair and she just kept adding more. but she was my mom and who was I to tell her how to do it. luckily she's a cosmetologist so it turned out amazing. (it was blue and purple then it faded into blonde and like a turquoise hombre, it was great and I really loved it)

My hair hit EVERY SINGLE stage possible in one go. Hot roots, red mid, and dark ends. This was at a cosmetology school and they still SOMEHOW got me to a teal/blue at the end of the day. It was beautiful. My hair had box dye and previous lightening done to it and they still did it. At first they didn’t think they could but the stylist said bet and got me to what I originally wanted after compromising to red. I was amazed and so happy

I still remember the very first bleach fail video of yours that I saw. I can remember the horror and joy it brought me. Love seeing these and the tips and tricks you share with us along the way. I'm confused about something in the second video. She did the first round of bleaching, which she said she left on for an hour and a half. Her hair was coming off. Granted it wasn't coming off in chunks like some of the others we have seen. But how was she able to get the final result that she got when her hair was (most likely) so compromised from the first round?

@@comfortablynumb7398 I noticed but what can you do? fall into the cancel culture? It is a huge marketing strategy theyre putting, risky, but it works apparently. People will continue buying from them, because its a brand that works off of scandal. (lets be honest, now and days people forget quickly whatever happens with someone. There are no values whatsoever. People keep worshipping empty people, "kardashians, celebrities etc" and brands solely because the "it" group does it.) Instead of attacking a random person for having a piece of a brand from who knows how many years ago, focus on the content of the video. (my opinion, makes me like less whoever supports these brands and whatever, but idont choose to make them feel less for making those decisions. up to them.)

if there's anything that bleaching my own hair has taught me, it's to be very generous with the bleach and if you think you got all the hair, you're wrong so go through it one more time. it takes forever even on shorter hair but it's worth not having to go back and fix all the patches that were missed.

At this point, with loads of actually good tutorials including many from Brad that actually explain the science behind bleaching and what to NEVER do, it's shocking how little some people learn before bleaching their own hair. Glad multiple people are bringing up the necklace, but don’t over-assume and bash Brad without any context. He may not have seen, or it was recorded before. For those saying “he could have chosen not to post the video”, do you not respect his career? It’s more complicated than “I didn’t post this week”. He has brand deals and obligations. Possibly, has deals with that company even. Before getting out of deals like that it takes a lot of paperwork and lawyers. That is a process. It’s possible he is taking action to get out of a brand deal with them, but had an obligation for this video as well. We just NEVER know. If he didn’t abide by his obligation on contract, then he could be sued. So just realize not everyone can decide to “cancel” something overnight, due to financial and legal obligations. I highly doubt he willingly wore an item like that, after what came out about the company. Or he didn’t have knowledge of it. We don’t know though. Let him address it, but he may or may not. Just don’t rip on him before we know anything. Women are wearing their boots and bags right now, I don’t see you accusing them of cp…
@wickedtatiana74412 жыл бұрын
So… what your saying is a millionaires brand deals are more important then information about CP. cool.
@eleanormason26472 жыл бұрын
It's entirely possible that he hasn't heard about things. I have no idea what anyone is on about, it's not exactly headline news and people get busy. Plus, what good does not wearing a brand do once it's been purchased? The money has already gone to the company, not wearing it will accomplish nothing really
@AS-rr9km2 жыл бұрын
@@wickedtatiana7441 No. I am not saying that whatsoever. By you reading the comment, and leaving with that context….is the ultimate reveal that you didn’t understand 📍
@AS-rr9km2 жыл бұрын
@@eleanormason2647 Thats why in another comment i just encouraged Brad to retire the necklace and resell it. Something like this should mean we no longer wear or promote the brand, for sure. It’s just very recent news, he wears a lot of that brand, we don’t know if he has brand deals with them. It’s perfectly legal to bow out of the brand after that ad promotion. It just takes meeting with lawyers, filing paperwork, and multiple weeks of processing. That’s why the person above doesn’t understand. They don’t know how companies in general or business deals work. That’s fine, but making assumptions about people without any context is what we called a “gossiper” in the 90’s-00’s. I think now we call them clout-chasers or something but I don’t keep up hahahaha

@@Sylis509 For sure but it’s sick to assume someone is a pedo because they wore a necklace (that they have worn multiple times in videos) after a news segments about a brand. We don’t know any details about it. Let’s not cancel him for wearing a necklace he already owned and wore beforehand. If he were to do an ad or promote the product…that’s different. However he already owned this necklace and might not have thought about it…?

@@Sylis509 I do agree that majority of all people in that famous “bubble” know that super illegal messed up crap comes with the territory. I remember when I tried to bleach my hair platinum, I luckily had really short hair and it was easy. I had bleached it and used a lightener/toner in one day and then lightened/toned it down one more time 2 days later to remove any more yellow/copper tones (my hair has undertones of red and it was fighting me). Finally, I ended up with this very light blonde but not quite platinum and I called it there cause my hair was still healthy and I wasn't gonna test it. note: I haven't dyed, bleached or anything to my hair for the last 2 years as I'm working on growing out my natural hair and slowly trimming out old bleach ends. I could cut off all the bleach but I'm so attached to having longer hair that I'm just taking my time.
