@15:15 Made me think of one time I was at Walmart YEARS ago and I was in the hair color isle looking at straightening irons, cause they were in the same isle for whatever reason, and there was a groups of kids in the isle messing with the hair dye. I realized after a few minutes THEY WERE SWITCHING THE COLOR DEVELOPER IN THE BOXES!!!! I flipped on those kids, I was so pissed. They ran, of course.. So I picked the boxes off the shelf that I’d seen them messing with and took them to the customer service desk and talked to the manager. THEY HAD TO PULL THE ENTIRE HAIR DYE SECTION FROM THE STORE!! I don’t think anyone bought any of the dye in the mean time, but it was bad. Moral of the story, if you buy box dye, check the numbers on the products to make sure they match the color on the boxes.

@@jahookuhwillyumzz6284 Exactly! Although even if her color was by choice, it’s a common color (or rather tone or hue) that occurs when someone messes up a bleaching process and just tries to tone it instead of getting professional help. I had blue streaks in my dark brown hair for years (always put in at the salon by the hairdresser) and the number 1 problem I would see people have when they tried to put their own blue color is that they would try to put blue on over top of an orange bleach job, which makes the blue color turn brown. I think that the guy who had the "purple" color actually had a red/orange bleach job in his hair and his blue dye turned his hair purple. Blue + red = purple! :)

I don't brush it just pick them apart. I make my hands wet and scrunch it. Now, I like how it comes out, I dig the vibe but I do a lot to make it work. It is not a one and done hairstyle. The curls usually last me three days and I refresh them in between. Sometimes I will add heat to them sometimes.

I have a question I hope you can answer: Why don't stylists have a portfolio like tattoo artists do, so that you can look at the portfolio, see what a stylist does well, and then choose your "artist" like one does with tattoos? There are color specialists, shaping specialists, up-do specialist, braiding specialists, those that specialize in grey/silver hair, colored hair, natural hair ... and as you know, the list goes on. And, also as you know, just because someone is a color genius, they may not be able to do curtain bangs well. It's perfectly OK to go to two different stylists to get the best outcome. One for the cut and one for the color. So, why don't stylists, especially ones who have found a specialty, have a portfolio?
