So as far as Batiste is concerned, Brad was doing it a little bit wrong. First off, the white cast happens with pretty much any spray dry shampoo (I'm sure you know that already but just on the slight chance you didn't); the clumpiness, however, is what happens when you don't shake the can well enough (batiste you definitely have to shake for at least 5 to 10 seconds). Second, he didn't really massage it into the hair, which is what gets rid of the white cast; after that, brush it through to distribute it throughout the hair. And third, which is kind of my own personal preference: I wouldn't spray it directly on the part line or on the top of the head in case the clumpiness and white cast DO happen, because then it's on display to the whole world. I usually lift up sections of hair around the part line, spritz the roots a couple times, and move onto the next section. Batiste has been my go-to since 2017 because it is the only dry shampoo I've used (sorry NotYourMother's) that doesn't leave my hair with grey patches or a chalky or crunchy feel, which is saying a lot, because I have very dark, very fine hair. (I'm sorry Brad I don't mean to be a nitpicker ily and your content so if you read this don't hate me plz)

Yeah, you said exactly what I was thinking too! Also with the scent of it, which he hated...they make like 20 different scents for that reason. But mainly, everything you said is my point too; shake the can, hold it further away, don't spray directly on the part line, get in there with your fingers first, followed by brushing. I've never had chunks of the product right after using it. Now, buildup later on is a different story!

With the dry shampoo you are suppose to let the white „powder“ sit on the hair for a few minutes and then rub it out with a dry, clean towel. It takes all of it away and leaves you with dry and clean feeling refreshed hair 😊 the white cast completely disappears 👍🏻

It will work but you need to have a thoughtful conversation with your store representative because I got my hair chemically burnt with Lush Peppermint hair soap. If you have sensitive scalp or hair I recommend the ginger shampoo from The Body Shop

RhianafeatEileen As a former lush employee, I personally used them only for scent. And then I’d use my other shampoo and conditioner after because lush’s did nothing texture/cleaning wise for me lol. They are pricey if ur on a budget, and they also use sulfates (which is why I had to stop using) But def look into it! May work better for you, and if not- there are plenty of other eco friendly brands!! Good luck :)

You really should try the OgX Dry Shampoo Foam and the Cake Dry Conditioner... I have brunette hair that is so long it's past my hips and I sit on it and it's super thick and curly and I swear by those two products they make life so much easier and cut my routine time way down in between washes they really are amazing they leave your hair feeling silky smooth and leave no residue at all even on dark hair like mine... I know everyone loves the batiste dry shampoo but when it comes to quality and ease of use the OgX and Cake take the literal cake lol trust me you'll never look for another dry shampoo again once you try those!!

Hey impulsive people like me, I have some advice: Any time that you feel the urge to dye your hair with box dye, just imagine Brad Mondo running at you screaming with scissors and a bottle of glitterati. Then go buy some real hair dye.

I only use box dye to lighten my hair (I have thick tight coils and the last time I bleached it ruined my curl pattern) I always use regular dyes for color though

@@nazoorah1517 box dyes are typically permanent and have an unknown developer while "real dyes" are just the color pigment that you have to mix with a developer unless it states it doesnt need one. I dunno. I find I have better color results with mixing my own developer because I feel it looks nicer but it's all preference

When you're living pay check to pay check with no help it can be hard getting enough money for food or other items, hair will come last after I've been able to take a shower and pay rent. These items are luxuries to many people I know sadly.

@@gobnaitaine2791 oh I've done that so many times. I'm going back blonde so I'm getting it done professionally. I'd very rarely use boxes now. If I do my colour at home I go to a salon supplier and get professional colours and use that instead. It's more expensive but it's so much nicer and the tubes last longer so I can top it up.

usually, they do what's best for the hair, that's honestly just a suggestion for what they think is best even though they can't see what the hair looks like, it's usually for when you take care of your own hair by yourself. hairdressers think about what your hair needs and looks like.

@@Mossfaerie That is extremely true, i think they just believe it looks better, or maybe it is easier to style, i'm not a hairdresser so maybe he does it without thinking. He is a professional hairdresser so he probably is used to working with people with different hair textures and styles and tries to find a easier inbetween, but i'm not sure. I know a dime size of anything with my hair will not work and i use quite a lot of everything in my hair and it just makes it softer, i think he probably wanted to see the total outcome but at the same time he wouldn't be getting accurate results using that much.
