I have combination of lace/poly and I must admit having lace makes maneuvering the system when attaching 100 times easier then have a full poly system which makes it rigid

Hi Curtis, love the videos. We are the same age. I started wearing hair at 22 with HCM. I’ve done it on my own since 2010. I’ve always worn lace. Never shown my hairline, it’s always been too thick and bulky. I just ordered my first poly .03. I’m excited to have it installed soon. I’ve been ordering from a certain place for over 10 years now. Your units are a bit pricier, but I’d like to try one from you on my next order. Hoping to show my hairline for the first time. I’ve watched your videos on hairline cleanups etc. I also bought white ghost bond platinum. I’ve always taped my lace units all the way around. Now I’ll try to bond the hairline and show it. I cannot wait to start, and wear my hair combed back. It’s been so long since I’ve had it back. Thank you for everything you do!!! 😁

I actually wear a thin skin and tape it all the way around. The back is always the first to fail and my hairline is almost always still in perfect shape when I do a reinstall
@richardb6073 жыл бұрын
Your information is extremely helpful. Installing a lace is quite different that installing a poly unit. The thinner coat on the poly now makes complete sense so thank you! Your explanation of why was perfect.

@@HairExperience nah. Well... I am not sure to be honest, but it looks like it was her real hair. Yoooo that's crazy!!! HOW DO YOU MISTAKE YOUR HAIR SPRAY WITH GORILLA GLUE!!???? WTH? things that make you go hmmmm..... lmao
@williamcharles86283 жыл бұрын
No, she ran out of a hair product called got2be glued, so she grabbed some gorilla glue spray she around the crib. But sistas do use got2be glued, and a product called gorilla snot, to adhere a lace front wig

Excellent, very informative video. I now know why you apply three or so coats when installing a lace, but not the thin skin. Mystery solved.lol

i can't order online units anymore because no place will install them unless it is their own product. I don't know if it is some unscrupulous way of forcing you to get their hair system or not but it is really frustrating. The place I used to go to suddenly stopped doing it and I had to beg them and they charged me 30 euros more than before to cut the hair (i had already cut out the template of the base)
@HairExperience3 жыл бұрын
Matthew, super sorry to hear that. Thats BS in my opinion. Thats a huge reason I did my channel. If the install is all done at home, you should be able to find someone to just cut your hair fairly easy!!

If I add one coat of glue to the poly it will be the same as if I add the 4 coats?! Will the 4 coats not make the hair more sticky? @hairexperience

Which unit is worthwhile to get the most natural hairline? Are poly units hot and uncomfortable because they are less breathable ? Which unit do you recommend in terms of comfort on the head and Realism ? thank you very much sir 🙏
@HairExperience3 жыл бұрын
Hi Shai, great questions. But some of that is up to the eye of the beholder and the person wearing it. You may like one over the other so thats a hard question to answer because opinion is involved
