I would have went for middle, side part and perimeter as well so I can do ponytails and add to the over all versatility. I get that would take a bit longer but it would also be easier to touch up in places and keep it longer. I have locs and I’ll do the hairline and deep enough for side or middle parts … save time looks fresh. Win win.

@@Efe-isaac Great that your hairline didn't become a casualty to the faux locs! You, probably, didn't have it in for long? Did DIY installation using this method throughout my head, even tried takedown at that point & there was no problem. Kept it for 4wks thereabouts & by the time of my actual DIY takedown, all the hairs(mine is 4b/c) had melded together! It was a tedious & life-sucking experience. Not funny at all. Despite my being very careful, I still cut through my own hair on 3 braids.😟 Swore off this method then. I'm put off faux locs for now. #PTSD 😥 Better to have someone else help with the takedown. But, another person said, in another comment section, that ish still happened despite that. Maybe they carried it for longer than I did.
