You know I am just a man who loves to watch hair styling videos because I find the transformations amazing and I now take it seriously to give my barbers the props , the money, and the praise when they cut my hair. It makes a big difference in how people approach you in life. Seems absurd. But what I love about this video is that this is all beautiful natural hair which takes a mountain of work. No added weaves. Nothing against my beautiful ladies who add the weaves but this girl must realize how beautiful her hair is. It's amazing. May she always take good care of it. God bless her. And much admiration for the stylist. Didn't even break a sweat. Tremendous skill.

I’m confused. I understand that the stylist had to straighten her hair in order to trim her ends. But why do through the process of roller setting and sitting under the dryer just to have to sit through getting it flat ironed???
@nattywho3 жыл бұрын
@@Thamonsterwithin I’m guessing because it makes the flat iron process quicker and easier. I am biracial and my hair is very thick and lots of curl and wave. If I were to wash and blow dry my hair (no particular way) or let it air dry and then flat iron it...it would take longer to do and the it wouldn’t look nearly as nice. When I blow dry it with a tool to get some of that natural curl out, the flat iron process is quicker and it looks much better! When my hair was really long, the hair dresser used to round brush and blow dry, before the flat iron process and my hair would have bouncy curls at the end. When I did it at home by myself, I always skipped that part, because it was just too much for one person (salon always had two people doing my hair)! As a result, my hair looked ok, but never as nice as when they did it at the salon...cuz I skipped that crucial step.

My hair is similar to hers and this hairdresser did an amazing job! You have to use rollers to calm down the curl pattern. The curls wouldn't stay from just the rollers...it would friz within an hour. Straightening or blow dry comes next to lock in the smoothness. When you have hair like this, this is an amazing transformation. It gives you freedom from styling for about a week and you know your hair looks good. If your hair isn't this texture it looks like over styling. Its not. Great job. Oh, and it looks like her flat iron uses steam for those who think she was burning her hair. :)

For everybody asking why the stylist didn't style her hair in its natural state, go watch every other video she has done. THIS is what she does. Curly/afro girls go to her to get their hair straightened without heat damage. And the reason why she's doing a roller set to dry her hair is so she doesn't have to expose the hair to unnecessary direct heat from the blow-dryer, therefore decreasing the chance of heat damage and also, it's easier.

I am glad she chose not to color her hair. In order to get dark hair as light as her hair is at the ends where it has grown out was a weakening process. That color needs to grow completely out and then another color can be done as not to weaken the fragile ends further and causing a crazy amount of breakage. This is why many women are walking around with extremely split ends...

@@cargoraygaming9274 If you have straight hair it's not gonna take more than 40 minutes to get a wash, cut and blow out. There's just not that many steps when doing straight hair, you don't have to do both the rollers or straightening with a blow dryer and then the flat iron, you get the same result by just blow drying. You can just brush the hair in one minute, while the detangling with curly hair can take a while. Also you don't have to do the edges, or sit under a dryer for a certain amount of time. @@cargoraygaming9274 it is that deep when your people have been shamed for generations for the type of hair they have even to this day. I wondered that too, i skipped through the video and as someone with A LOT of hair I understand why it was done now. It's because she has SO much curling before that the hair looks kinda frizzy and out of control (imo) and its just too much body. The bottom hair was straightened and trimmed to give a cleaner look

These people are Eritrean/ Ethiopian ok. This is how we all straighten our hair. FIRST we put it in a roller set when its wet so that it dries a lot softer and better prepered to be straightend. That way you damage the hair a lot less, it lasts longer and the results are way ”silkier” than if we just blowdried it the way african americans do it. Trust me, the roller set is def. Not pointless!

Looks great! Clearly she straightened the hair to do a precise trim. Her hair definitely needed a trim with the color in the ends. Had she not the damage would’ve gotten worse.
