Can I Thrift & Flip 100 T-Shirts in One Day?

I have to say it's so refreshing when I watch you and you talk about turning $1.50 into $15 dollars. So many resellers only focus on the higher average sale price, but I feel like it's much harder to find some of those high end brands. This gives people hope that they can still make profit off of lower ticket items. Sales do add up. I get a lot of 10-15 dollar sales but buy most of my stuff for $1 or so each. I make currently about 300-400 a week in profit and I have about 600 items listed.

But we all have to admit, 80% of those shirts he found wouldn't sell for $10-$15... unless you are "famous" (youtuber). For example the RVCA shirt, you will be lucky to get $5 without any social media following 😅.

Time is a major factor as well. It takes a lot more time to list those $15 items in order for it to add up to much. This is why I focus on high dollar items. But that too depends on the area you live in and the knowledge you have.

@@freddypineda5632 correct. I listened to the Dad Planet guy and bought RVCA t shirts and that was my biggest mistake. They are still sitting in my store after one year ... no one is interested and this planet guy said that they are his best sellers and high price sellers. Didn't watch him after that.

Same here!! It’s sooo ridiculous!! I refuse to go to Goodwill anymore! They have gone crazy with prices and there was never much GOOD in goodwill. I’d rather give my money to actual non profit organizations that do good things for the community.

I wish Goodwills here were so affordably priced. It would make thrifting for myself and for resell so much easier. They're usually $4-7 for shirts/long sleeves, $7-14 for jerseys/hoodies/etc. All of the Goodwills around me are so expensive so I usually have to nitpick for something really good to just do ok on. lol.

T-shirts with patterns on turn them inside out, as it saves the print coming off, do your washing on a fast wash cycle 28/30minutes

Before bundling, quickly double check brands that have special markings/collabs/logos/graphics. I had an Under Armour lot I purchased for the NWT basic black compression shirt. Well, turns out the yellow long sleeved Batman compression shirt with logo across the chest was worth $70 and would have been over $100 if it had its tags! This is not the first time this sort of thing has happened. I tend to get tunnel vision, thinking I've found the winning item when the one next to it is worth as much or more. It's a humbling reminder to me that I will ALWAYS be learning and evolving in this line of (fun) work!

Random thought, maybe you guys have done it before and I haven't seen it but I think when Hailey gets back the both of you should go into a goodwill, set a budget ( maybe $50) to pick each other out an outfit no matter how crazy it is for the other person to wear and then wear that outfit out on a date or the next time you go to the flea market or maybe even for an entire day! Would be very interesting video!

My favorite thrift store in Hawaii charges 50 cents per item. Just found a nice Lululemon sports bra for 50 cents. Goodwill is typically a ripoff in most parts of the country.

My Goodwill here in Michigan is 4.99 for a t shirt it would have cost me $500 for 100 t shirts, I will never darken another Goodwill doorstep ever again. I cannot make any money buying at Goodwill prices are to high, what gets me is it is donated goods and Goodwill gets tax breaks.

Goodwill prices in the USA are amazing . Nothing like that in the UK.
