zava34 white supremacy of the world it started when haiti won independence in 1804 and was the 1st free black independent nation and slaves won .America was afraid the slaves from America would get ideas so America and other countries such as france,England, spain, Portugal etc. basically isolated haiti from import export trade that basically destroyed haiti along with Americans (marines)occupation from 1915-1934 in which America took millions of dollars from haiti and rape the woman. And there is alot more .....that why haiti is poor blackballed from the world for revolutionary war against slavery and they won !

zava34 Technology. Russia and China are VERY far from Haiti. Monroe's doctrine (The American continents belong to the Americans) blockaded Russia and China from reaching into this part of the world. plus they just didn't have the technological means.

On sugar cane being poor in nutrition,...WRONG! Sugar cane before its subjected to the industrialization process is rich in nutrients,...if ya press out the sugar cane juice, on coming into contact with the air, it turns a dark brown,....resulting in molasses and the darker the sugar the more nutritious it is, the more refined the sugar, well, it gets turned into a drug.

Saying they "were the richest colony" is a hugely misleading exaggeration They were the biggest wealth producers not the richest, there is a very important distinction The only true "colonies" meaning where people went to settle and transplant their society from their homeland were the Hispanic provinces. Outside of the Hispanic provinces the Caribbean were places Imperial nations filled with slaves, not settlers establishing colonies like the English and French and certainly not provinces the way the Spanish did

Lol I know right. He and the rest of them lived the good life when the U.S. deposited money into the government bank account. Now Haiti is lawless and the government is there just on paper but they are non functional anymore as that country continues to spiral out of control. God bless the Hatian citizens that have to suffer because of it

You know it was the French who told the other Europeans nation not to tried with Haiti right, they were mad that the Haitians slaves were able to free their selves. I’m not saying it’s only European colonialism fault but it has a lot to do with it.
