Christophe was a king, not an emperor. Haiti had two emperor, Jean-Jacques Dessalines and Faustin Soulouque.

Pure lies! yet he didn't talk about the cruelty from the slave masters. Whittie has been painting a bad image on haiti; this a perfect example.

Because it's a travel film about current Haiti (at the time of filming). It has nothing to do with the subject besides the passing mention he gave to it.

The movie reel is priceless. A better narrative could be put to it. Anyway, I enjoy watching these old reels.
