I figured the order experience would be that way. Bc I’m like - I’ve been wanting this test going on like 5 years now and bc it’s so pricey, I’ve tried to prequalify with Affirm. I was like Affirm always approves me no matter what but with the African Ancestry website...NOPE! Fast forward to 2021, Affirm is approving me NO PROBLEM 😉 with any and everything else but when I try to use it for AA, NOPE AGAIN AND AGAIN. So I feel like this company is facetious. I feel like they greedy. I feel like they don’t wanna give ppl a break. As far as I know, they’ve never had a 50% off sale or no coupon/discount code...NOTHING. And I don’t like that crap when black ppl are involved.

NOt True everybody is a desendant from Africa and African People weren,t called African. India was called greater Ethiopia. Even the Mongoloids have to this day African Ancestry Budda was black also. Chinese Scientist confims this. All Men and Women originated from the Black Man and Woman. Albinism is where White or light skin arose. You Folk have seem proven facts time and time again. That is your ignorance. You don,t see Asian People looking like Native People Dna shows they came they came and mixed with Black People. The spears and feathers they wore are the same hailing from the ALkebulan, hence Africa was renamed, just like you or where you come from by Colonizers which started this racial devide putting People into various racial groups. I am not sure whether or not the Mende people he is talking about are the same as the Mande people. The Mande is the original name of Mali, which became an empire covering most of West Africa. A Mali emperor called Mansa Abubakar II saled to the Americas in the early 14th century, aroun 1304. His successor , Mansa Musa, is better known by people because of his pilgrimage to Mecca and the gold his distributed throughout his journey. Some historians claim that Mansa Bukary II and his crew made it to the Americas. They say that Christopher Columbus actually found some black men in the West Indies. If this is true, his ancestry might not be only from the salve trade. However, I admit that the slave trade brought more people to the Americas than the 2 thousand exploration boats of Mansa Bukary II did. Thanks

They were captured by other Africans or Muslims and sold to the Europeans who took them to America. This was cool dude. I think one of the things that's going to come out of a lot of this DNA is understanding not just the lineage but also the cultures of our ancient people. You mentioned a fondness for herbs and agriculture and mother Earth but there's also a lot to be said about polygamy, nomadic lifestyle and the societal norms that all of our ancestors lived in.

I am full Dominican, and my DNA composition is 53% caucasian (mostly Iberian), 40% negro/black (mostly Bantu), and 7% indigenous or aborigen. Interesting results because much of the recorded history I read narrates the majority of Haitians to descend from the Fon people of Benin, or at least they were the dominant group of slaves in the colony of Saint Domingue.

Most Haitians are Igbo. Learn Igbo language, although Igbo is one of hardest language to learn because one word can mean 4 different things but it has things like dash and dots to differentiate it which people doesn't put when writing Igbo in English form. E.g: Akwa ( means: egg, bed, clothe, cry). Pronounced differently.

Peace brother interesting shout out 🇭🇹 grew up with Haitian brothers . A Mende/Yoruba is symmetrical with a Natufian a population found in the mideast and west Asia 12,000 bc . We could say an African people who went out of Africa settled the mid east , sat about 100,000 years , built the Arabia Nubia Complex, then come back in waves . Obviously all the way west . Same population was indeed on Giza plateau . I'm talking about a time period prior to 6,000 years , everyone was various types of African we might say .

Oh the Fang don’t seem to think some of their people were captured and enslaved! I had a conversation with a Fang KZbinr who got irate because I stated how I’m related to Fang via DNA. Then she shares her DNA results and gets 1% European 🤦♀️. This hatred we have for each other runs too deep! I had to remind myself that it was some of the ancestors they descend from that helped the Europeans capture the ancestors of the diaspora. Yeah, I left her alone! 😅

My brother the name of the island by our ancestors was Ayiti and also Quisqueya Bohio (my home). Columbus is the one who called it Hispagnola (little Spain) because he claimed it for Spain. When we continue to describe our land as the name of the colonizers, we agree and fall in line with them. The name of the entire island (the 5 caciquas) now known as Republique d'Haïti and Republica Dominicana is Ayiti (Ah-yeeh-tee).

One thought. The matri- and patrilineal dna traces straight line ancestry back, but what it doesn’t account for are all the ancestors in between - your father’s mother’s father’s line is just as much a part of you as your father’s father’s line…they’re just not able to pull every thread of the complicated weaving that we are. So that Ibo connection can be just as legitimate as the Fang and Mende. Very interesting video! It lifts all Africans of the diaspora up as more and more threads are connected!
