If you wanna be really good you gotta find your own style. Sometime what you are taught at the place you are at is what your trainer can do best but not necessarily what is most complimentary for you. I learned that the hard way in Muay Thai when I constantly got matched up with guys twice my weight until I realized that I need to have a completely open defense and Dodge more then I block because when you are 140 pounds and getting hit by someone who is like 220 blocking is as useful as a paper umbrella in a taifun
