It's a bit worse than Kaijus in that you have to target an opponents monster using the effects of a monster on field. So the actual tributing for link summon is still a cost, but everything before that point is still an effect that can be negated/protected against in various ways.

ehh it's not really a super poly similar but way worse. Your can respond to it, you have to TARGET a special summoned monster, youre locked into only link summoning dark type which isnt that bad but still, and you HAVE to use the link monster as part of the material so if your opponent chains something to get rid of either your target or the link the effect fizzles out.

Kaiju and the like, Grinder Golem (in the OCG), Give and Take, Ojama Tokens to give your opponent monsters. Metalfoes, True King/Draco to pop the set cards with some Artifacts to be those set cards. Maybe some Urgent/Special Schedule too.

This archtype looks really nice. It unfortuantely doesn't look like its one of those spammables, but hook it with some dangers and we got something. Course... hooking up dangers with pretty much everything makes a deck good these days, but we still got a solid looking deck with danger/hakai since danger brings the offense and thinning while hakai bring the defense. TBH a danger spam deck with 3 kaijus built into one card (essentially) sounds pretty scary.

I wonder if Rokket Tracer can be used in this deck, it's a quick destruction that locks you into dark extra monsters and if used with the normal spell it gives you a search and 2 monsters on the field for free Edit: I just realized I read the effect of the spell wrong, so it's not as good as I thought, but I think it might still be worth trying

I can see this working well with the Lair of Darkness deck and cards like Ojama Trio. Lair gives your opponent Torment tokens that you can steal, and Ojama Trio is self explanatory. I'd be interested in combining this deck with my Artifact Lair deck to see how it works.

It certainly is interesting, and since the link 2 and 3 are limited to hakaishin it ain't like you can just splash the level 3s into any deck to pull one out. The link 4 might be limited or semi-limited, it's stupid easy to get the requirement out and the link 3 goes straight into it. If a deck is already running something with a name copying effect like Formud Skipper I can see the links being splashed in if the space ain't tight.

If you use this archetype with either Ojama Trio or Nightmare Archfiends, you can get Raigou on the field on the same turn as Magatama regardless of how many monsters are on the opponents field (since Tokens CAN be used for Link Summoning). 😏

Hakai means destruction or heretic(their names use parts of both kanji spelling, meaning "destruction heretic"), but kai can refer to Kikai or Kase, which mean machine or chain. So their fully name would be Destruction Machine for short, and Destruction Heretic Chain Machine(s). Douji means child, but it is a title used for onis, meaning Ogre Child. Shin means true, new or deity, which makes sense their wolf deity gets new forms by eating opponent's monsters, becoming more flesh-like, thus "true". Have no idea souoh means. But conceptually (in terms artwork/lore) these guys look like the antithesis of Tenyis.
