She just made a very poor decision to try something... erm... "different" at the Olympic Games themselves! (Or maybe it was a good decision? they dont dance and sing at the same time. in fact they neither dance, nor sing live at all. they record the performances and play those recordings at the concerts. the stuff in between songs, adressing and interacting with the audience is live though.
@alexbelcher2206Ай бұрын
@@hunzukunz I’ve seen this said before but do we actually have confirmation? Some of it sounded like it was live. Like FuwaMoco’s performance on day 1 doing their original song. They had the backing track for backing vocals like they do at regular concerts for most artists and the audio didn’t sound recorded at all. Recordings have that distinct filter when compared to live audio. Listen to any song on a record then go look up that same song live. Of if you go to a concert listen to any song from that artist and then compare it to live audio at the show. Recorded audio is much clearer/cleaner. And in regards to the dancing I’ve seen some of the birthday performances as well as some of the past concerts starting with 3rd fest and during the segments in between songs when they would have the talents address the crowd right after they had been on “stage” they sounded very winded.
@hunzukunzАй бұрын
@@alexbelcher2206 the recordings for concerts are not the same as highest quality studio recordings. they are done specifically for the concerts. they are not as heavily edited, to retain some of that 'live' feel. obviously i dont know exact details, but they do some pitch corrections, timing edits etc., but they dont use a lot of effects. its still very obviously not live, because you can hear the impact that f.e. pitch correction has on the voices. specifically for the FWMC performance: the sound is very even, despite the dancing. so either they dont dance, or they dont sing. they dont sing, because it would sound very different, if it was live. even the best live-tuning tech would have them sound really unnatural. way more than the post editing you can do for prerecorded sound. (see Justin Bieber, BTS etc.) without live-tuning, they would sound more similar to how they sing during their karaoke streams. they also dont dance, because they are not out of breath at all immediately after the performance, when they talk to the audience. that would be impossible. so the whole performance is not live. just to make sure: thats perfectly fine and normal in the industry. most of the girls are also neither professional singers, or proffesional dancers. to get the most out of them and make it a great night for the fans, prerecording, with live segments in between songs, is definitely the correct decision. i dont think they ever officially claim, that those concerts are performed in real time. they just dont straight up say its prerecorded. dont forget, that they are, at least to some extent, play characters. and those characters are there, on the stage, singing and dancing for the fans. even if the real people are not actually on stage and performing live. maybe as a comparison: the Mori Calliope Solo Concert performance with Suisei, from ~2 years ago, was most definitely live. you can totally hear the difference, both in audio quality and in singing accuracy. as for proof, or confirmation: i dont know if there is 100% proof, but its as close to fact as you can get, without them straight up confirming it.
@alexbelcher2206Ай бұрын
@@hunzukunz But without confirmation can you really say it isn’t live? I’m no tech expert when it comes to music but you say even professional audio techs would make them sound unnatural? If they’re professional they know what they’re doing so that makes absolutely no sense. And to bring up the FuwaMoco performance wouldn’t the techs want them to sound even? As for the performances themselves, the fact that the possibility to livestream them exists adds another point to say it’s live. Regular artists have done it so why wouldn’t Cover/Hololive? And to bring up another point, the adlibs during songs. All the girls do it and it’s more than just addressing the location of the performance. Yes they all have some call out to the crowd at the start of or during a song, but there’s also several times they throw something else in randomly.
@hunzukunzАй бұрын
@@alexbelcher2206 when it comes to tech, there are limitations to what can be done. even the best audio techs cant perform magic. live audio, atleast today, is still very much recognizable. no amount of equipment and expertise will make a prerecorded song not sound prerecorded. even if the techs would want them to sound even, that doesnt mean they can. there is physics involved, that you cant entirely counter act. you will hear uneven sound when people move around, especially when they dance. maybe some day in the future it ill be possible to do AI-assisted live-editing, that is unrecognizable, but thats not the case right now. regular artists have not done it. they either sing live and sound like they sing live, or they lip-sync, sing over backing tracks, or use live-tuning. all of those are pretty easy to tell apart. many of the concerts done by top pop-stars are not performed fully live, so that not a good argument. another very obvious point is simply looking at the singing skills of the talents. most of them arent all that good at singing., they simply would not be able to pull of a performance like that live, no matter how much they practise. maye 2-3 would get pretty close. if you try to go against all the evidence and claim those are live performances, you are basically at the level of someone claiming the earth is flat. technically could be true, but its a riddiculous stance to take.

This is just the brainrot speaking, but reading the title made me think Bae was using a Heat Move on a lucky member of the audience for some reason.

Should also check out her performance when she opened for Riot's event with Shion, Laplus, and Kobo. Even Lapchan was surprised just how cracked her dancing actually is.

Bae is an amazing performer. I remember watching her birthday performance live and it made me gain a lot more respect for vtubers in a way.

bro how can she dance like that AND sing without missing a single breath?? she literally is chaos, cuz she's breaking all laws of physiology.

Because she is neither dancing or singing live. They record the song and then they record the dance and play those at the concert.

She's been working hard nonstop in practicing if you haven't catch any of her updates in Twitter and in her talking streams
@Kronius36021 күн бұрын
@@saintlarfleeze3551 this is false, cause first off bae had mentioned that there's been many rehearsals that's gone wrong bts (behind the scenes) as mentioned in her stream before going into a break from streaming to catch up on other behind the scenes work And she's been constantly breaking her butt in a non metaphorically speaking by practicing behind the scenes So saying that this was pre recorded is disregarding her efforts and any of the mems efforts in working hard to prepare for the concert

The secret is she can't, sort of, the choreo was way too intensive for her to keep up a clean vocal performance along with it, which is just a logical occurence. I'd recommend her performance of Taiyou no Uta on her 3D Showcase stream where she gave her vocals the spotlight without any choreo, or Alchemy from her Birthday Live, or even Kakurenbo from the same live where she free styled a less intensive choreo. Now I'm not gonna pretend the performances are all 100% actual live live, but whether it's live or prerecorded, the singing and dancing were definitely done at the same time, either that or these girls are really freaking good at selling their separate vocals and crowdworks to mesh completely with their choreo lmao.

Day 2 was straight fire! Gekirin is my favorite song from Bae's album. And then there were Biboo, Ina and the High Tide group song... I couldn't safely attend such a "formal" concert in person though. I grew up going to rock concerts and festivals. During Biboo's performance I had had the biggest urge to throw myself into a moshpit. Like straight up open a large area during the slow build-up to the song's finale, and then collapse it as soon as the drop hits...

She's a godly dancer. I wish they made her outfit more so that it does not hide the subtelty of those movements. Those puffy sleeves bother me. When it comes to dancing outfits you should know "less is more" always have been the rule for both balet & contemporary dance. Hololive should think more about how to transfer all the skills those talents have through this janky technology. A lot is lost still, unfortunately, especially in dancing, since the body movements on the models are rather simplified.
