His one of a kind voice never leaves my heart. Saw him in Albany NY. Unbelievable. Fits no genre-just great songs. What a writer. His "Waiting for Redemption" CD was one of the albums that helped me get thru the months after 9/11. Remembering that today.

Hal's writing and singing are like no other, and I don't think anyone can ever surpass his gift of singing and storytelling. Hope he comes back on tour again. I miss him a lot. Have every CD. love to listen to him.

This is really nice. I was telling my friend how listening to Hal took me back to way back when, and then I find a song By him, about IT! Haha. Well sung, and I love that melancholy guitar.

Just hope you realize this song was written and much better performed by Stephen Bruton.

I do not have Stephen's version of this song and I have a number of his CDs. I highly respect Stephens music and miss him. As for music I rarely think of who is better, instead I reflect of the interpretation of the song. Having heard Hal's version live I know I like the song. Would love to hear Stephen's and will see if it is on youtube.
