One the reasons why Hal joined them, he explained is; because Zero is a very reliable IGL, possibly the best IGL in the game, so Hal won’t have to IGL, he can just focus on being a fragger, damaging and going for kills BUT playing on Bang it requires more thought process, more steps to play the character more effectively, you can’t waste smokes, know where and when to smoke, smokes can also put your own team at a disadvantage, similar things with Bang Ult, Unlike Bloodhound who requires simply scanning and Ult-ing in fights, to simplify it, they’re less chances of messing up with the abilities so it’s less stressful playing Bloodhound and it can be more stressful playing Bang, and he doesn’t want that because they’re more chances of not being on the same page causing mistakes that’ll cost them the game

@@fightingsloth It would not have mattered. By the time Hal's second smoke would've landed, the team still would've seen Zer0 climbing up and would still do similar damage through the smoke. Even though Zer0 wasn't full health he still made it. What was the mistake was canceling the bat while stuck in a corner after being put to low health. That was the dumbest decision and Zer0 knew it but doesn't want to admit that it was his fault. Gen instantly took Zer0's side but didn't call him out on canceling the bat which got him killed.

There was like a 2 second window where Hal slides right and does nothing( and his smoke was ready as soon as he launched the first failed one). Sorry but you're both wrong, Hal smokes an invisible wall, the next thing he NEEDS to do as Bangalore is place a good smoke straight away so Zero has cover. Zero will not get beamed the same through smoke, that makes absolutely no sense.

This was so unfortunate I'd probably be pissed too. I had to watch it back a few times but Hal really did hit an invisible wall with the smoke, and then Zero canceled his Batt for a phoenix, but I guess Gen made a small error and dropped another Batt? Zero couldve lived if he finished his Batt or if the smoke was properly placed but... also this is Hal's problem. If he just showed Zero that his smoke was blocked by some bullshit Zero would understand, instead he immediately starts arguing about stupid stuff

Hal is a good candidate for Bangalore, was on TSM during the role issues as well, because she has escability after an overextension. 1:42 Zero calls for smoke but he's basically saying I can't climb up but there's not really a ping so in my head to smoke above without over exerting and getting railed Hal done exactly what I would of tried to and get it from the tightest angle without taking to much dmg. Besides that and Zero did not ping where he wanted the smoke just said "a smoke on me?" (hint hint)... They need to revert to previous comp with Hal on Blood because M&K on Bang in crucial in comp at this point 😊

If he did that so he can get the care package gun without dropping his previous gun at the care pack spot. You’re able to take the gun insta since you have an empty spot and also random people who stumble there later won’t get your mag or attachments there later.

He dropped his gun so he could grab the care package weapon but Hal wasn't able to loot it safely so they left it. If they drop gun it's faster to grab and they have a backup weapon

Seeing from Hal's perspective, he was 100% right. He tried to smoke thru the "invisible wall" to hit the team at rock (Zer0 was out in the open and didn't even see them 😵). Then he bang ulted after zer0 got knocked on the cross and smoked again to facilitate a rez. Then both Gen and Zer0 blame Hal for not smoking. You can't rewatch the vod and say that Hal didn't do everything that they asked 🤷‍♂️
