Wait but which one actually puts family first. This shows what life would’ve been like if walt chose the brunette over the blonde
@RatedRRaj3 жыл бұрын
@Gloopy McScoop Nope, whilst his ego/pride did get in the way eventually leading him to stay in the business, he still did every single thing for the family regardless, even afterwards.
@RatedRRaj3 жыл бұрын
@Gloopy McScoop Also regardless of whether his family was first or not the fact of the matter also is his intentions after and actions all indicate he still wanted his family to receive the money. If he didn’t want to put family first he could have just ran off with the money thinking to himself screw it, he’s got cancer and just enjoy the rest of his life and what not. The guy was a dying man, even after his wife cheated on him and after the fight he had chances to walk away and enjoy the money for himself. Not only then but many opportunities and chances to leave them and take the money but he didn’t do it. Right at the end I believe the only reason he replied to his wife with ‘I did it for me’ was because he just didn’t want to make her angry with the usual response or statement. I think his reaction was truth to the heart when Jesse was scaring him that he’s going to burn the money, when he started to mention the family, not doing it just to save it for himself. Ultimately if he didn’t put family first I don’t think he would have even started the drug business, however one could also think the opposite that if he had put family first he wouldn’t have went into it in the first place; as that alone itself is detrimental to life/health with all the dangers.

@@RatedRRaj He did NOT do it for his family. That was a lie he convinced even himself to, Walter did it for himself.
@RatedRRaj3 жыл бұрын
@@CJonesApple No he didn’t do it for himself LMAO, the way you just said it was as if the entire show was centred around that. Did you even watch it? You mean to tell me that from the beginning in Season 1 he had done it all for himself? With no concern of his family? If thats the case then why did he try so hard to maintain ties with Skyler and his son? Why did he still give the money to Elliot and Gretchen at the end instead of just wasting/enjoying every last bit of it for himself? The argument here isn’t even whether Walt did it for his family or not *INITIALLY* ,that part is already established, but whether or not later on he ONLY did it for HIMSELF. Some may choose to believe the latter but I’ve provided the reasons why I think that is untrue. Your statement basically means to say he didn’t care for his family but only himself from the beginning lol, which I think anyone who watched the show knows is totally untrue.

I love how Hal always gets himself into the most ridiculous situations and then bullshits his way out of it 😂

The best thing about Hal is that he scattered his personality in his children: he has the recklessness of Francis, the vicious destructive tendencies of Reese, and the naivety and childishness of Dewey

The clip that starts at 3:15 is a great depiction of what it's like having ADHD as an adult! Though it should come as no surprise to anybody that Hal would have ADHD, although his generation definitely wouldn't be diagnosed with it.

6:25 you can see someone's hand on the left of the screen.

I guess because the screen is shorter back in the days that you won't see the hand when it aired on TV.

@@GwenMahdi yes it is. This was aired when tvs were still square shaped but movies and tv shows were filmed with wider aspect ratio like a rectangle. So when people eventually got widescreen tvs they saw details on the left and right that previously were never shown

OK, choosing to go up the downwards escalator a second time is great writing. But that moment where he realises that he’s made the same stupid mistake, flails his arms, spins round and… ultimately *decides to carry on ascending anyway* is a mini-masterpiece of physical and emotional comedy. Absolute genius actor.
