This gentleman not only is an articulate yet relatable presenter, he can PLAY! I also like that the guitars in the Origin Effects demos typically are OEM-configured mainstream instruments - for example, Gibson Les Pauls and Fender Stratocasters - not custom or modded jobs which none of us consumer know. Smart.

Sounds like a great new pedal. One thing I have noticed though, is every demo I’ve seen is going into a Fender amp - I’d love to hear it going into something EL34 based to see how it works in that context.

Which Adaptive mode "will keep" the Klon Mid Bump while rolling back the strat volume pot? It would have been nice to have a diode mode switch to get different "edge of breakup" tones to be able to adjust the edge of breakup tones control and a mid shift control to fine tune the mid frequency to shift it left or right to fit in the amplifiers tone stack slot.

Turning the adaptive circuitry off 'O' keeps the mid-hump of a KLON present. It sounds like an M-EQ DRIVER might be a nice alternative and worth looking at. That pedal allows you to accurately dial in the amount of mid-push and has frequency select options (including 1k, which is roughly where the KLONs sits).

Very promising! What would you say is sonically the main difference to the M-EQ Driver? I do own that one, love it, excellent work as well.

The M-EQ and Halcyon Gold are quite different. One recreates the diode clipping of the KLON, one aims to recreate the valve push-pull power section of a studio EQ. Which in and of itself is quite a substantial tonal different. The implimentation of the Adaptive Circuitry is also quite different between the two. The Halcyon Gold's removes the entire voicing of the pedal and backs off the TONE control. The M-EQ limits the Adaptive Circuitry to it's CUT control, so the mid-hump you set is always present.

The shape of the bump is different between the two and the M-EQ gives you more control over the relative 'push' of the mids. They also have quite different clipping characteristics. One being diode, one simulating a push-pull output.
