Is it just me or does it sound extremely bright in this demo? I usually like bright sounds but this is bordering on painful... Sounds great apart from that.

Listen to Don Felder's solo on One Of These Nights to hear a tweed deluxe close to exploding! Also Neil Young's Like A Hurricane is one of my favorite tweed tones that's sounds like it's just about ready to self destruct.

Any chance of you all making this pedal with the IRs already built in so that we can have an all in one solution for live playing? Your free IRs are wonderful!! I use the tweed 1x12 medium mix IR on my Pod Go and it sounds great!
@OriginEffectsUK7 күн бұрын
Unlikely for the time being. Including an entire digital section in a pedal is quite an expensive addition, especially as we produce in the UK. We currently suspect doing so would take the pedals out of a price range people are comfortable with.

Love my Deluxe 55 into the Origin Brown Deluxe Bright IR! And the compressor trick is neat. I love how it can sound like a full blown Marshall stack once you start to push it with drives and use the right cabinets.

Love my OE 55 Deluxe pedal, it's never coming off my board. Run a j rocket archer airchild compressor before it like you are doing with the cali76. Run it into a boss IR2 either to the twin or tweed amp setting with my own custom ir cabs I loaded.

I also use the Airchild into the Deluxe 55! The compressor trick shown here works great with it.

Great video! What is the signal chain when you were using the valve amps along with the IR?

The amp is just on a load, with the IR placed after in DAW. The equivalent of having micced it up.

Amazing work! Would you consider a plexi specific pedal or do you feel the revival drive more or less covers that territory enough? @origineffects

The RevivalDRIVE covers a lot of the Plexi stuff. No doubt at some point we'll revisit, but until then the RevivalDRIVE does a lot of it.

@OriginEffectsUK22 күн бұрын
You won't need a power amp simulator when using our pedals as they already simulate the power amp.
@stephanewelti881621 күн бұрын
@@OriginEffectsUK i have the same equipment (revivaldrive compact & ox stomp) and i assure you that without power amp sim the sound is not terrible. On the other hand, in the return of a friedman IRD, it's much, much better.

Why not just buy the Ampeg SCR DI or SGT and get the real deal at a better price and arguably with more features with the SGT? Nobody does Ampeg better than Ampeg. No headphone out either
@OriginEffectsUK22 күн бұрын
The SGT and the BRSV are fundementally different approaches to creating the SVT sound. The SGT is cool and feature packed for sure, we focus on recreating the whole amp and the feel and sound that comes with that. Different things for different use cases.
@GuyNarnarian27 күн бұрын
I'm surprised that was the amp used on Kid Charlemagne. Shows how different amps can sound in the mix. Cinnamon Girl is the tweed Deluxe tone that I most associate with this amp and pedal. The enormous sag that turns into fuzz.

How are you recording the amp?
@bikersoncallАй бұрын
Coupled with a good tube amp, and strat, which of this series of your pedals would be best matched for getting a Hendrix (Voodoo Chile eg_) 'core' sound Hendrix and SRV. I'm not referring to the 'Little Wing' sound, but their Core tones, especially the Strat Neck pup quack when they hit the OPEN low E string hard, the chimy , fat , bell tones.

The KLON causes a lot of controversy due to its price and hype. I'd say that makes it a pretty infamous pedal.

Hi there, know I am a bit late to the party, I just received my RDC and am getting accustomed, I'm having a blast and this video is really helpful to get started. I absolutely love the way this pedal is conceived. There's nothing like it. Brilliant thinking, guys! However, I can approximate all the tones with the settings shown here (with the appropriate guitars, of course) but the John Mayer snippet is a mystery to me: with the settings shown I can't for the life of me get even close.... what are the pickups used for this (if you can remember...)? With the Texas Specials on my Fender USA strat and these settings I'm more into smooth mellow jazz territory than this glassy sparkling rendering!
@JTroskaTVАй бұрын
These look awesome. But to be practical for live use straight to a PA, some kind of speaker simulation would need to be included. A simple analog filter like Tech21 does would sell it for me.
