Wonderful! finally I could watch this sketch again, I've never been able to forget it. In our home we've been repeating "What's this then - what's that then?" for years (not constantly - that is...)

Brilliant! I remember seeing it years ago on the tele and we all used to go around saying "How's your car?" My other favourite sketch was the one with "Tree.. Car" - classic! :-D BRING BACK HALE AND PACE!!!

Tree, car, was Harry Enfield. There was also 'baby Jesus'. It was trying to teach aliens English.

Loved Hale and Pace and this was one of my fave sketches in it. 'Hows your car?'

hale and pace! don't make comedy like this anymore. those were the days
@TheLastAngryMan018 жыл бұрын
darren Mead They wouldn't be allowed to make this sort of comedy today, world has gone far too pc. The likes of Only Fools and Horses, Fawlty Towers, Porridge, Alf Garnet etc. would all land on the cutting room floor today.
@lordgeoffrey788 жыл бұрын
they remade porridge and open all hours, they are bothe dogshit, what else do you expect from the peado loving bbc?
@TheLastAngryMan018 жыл бұрын
lord geoffrey But that's kinda the point, a lot of the humour in those shows would be considered very iffy by the PC police. Hence the sanitized nonsense we get in the guise of 'comedy' today, as well as cheap shit like the endless stream of panel shows.
@lordgeoffrey788 жыл бұрын
TheLastAngryMan01 that is exactly my point, this PC crap is here to stay, shitizen khan is getting a new series

there's another one where the uncle is sitting there alone and there is a tape recorder on the table. The uncle looks at it 'what's that then?' and presses the play button when you hear the nephew say 'It's a tape recorder'. 'Ahh what's it do then?'. 'It records my voice'...

seems kinda bigoted half my family is Welsh the language barrier is wee bit weird the syntax is celtic even tho the words are English, this makes English people think the Welsh (and presumably yoda) stupid. there not there actually very industrious people more so then the English or Scottish equivalent in my experience im Scottish an i live in England my syntax is fooked ta bits me gud mon tallyhow.
