Haleakala NP day 2: Paliku cabin to Holua via Halemau'u trail | Maui Hawaii

On February 25, 2023 we packed up our bags and hiked to our last stay in Haleakala: Holua cabin. This 6.3 mile was beautiful as we got to see Pele's paint pot. Enjoy!

Wish I could do overnight hike like this. And I did not know you guys actually eat the Hawaiian bread lol. How come Ne Ne’s do not run away from people. Your videos are genuine and so informative. Were you the one singinig 😊?

The hawaiian sweet bread rolls are yummy and sweet! I think the Nenes are used to the humans. The Nenes at Paliku were more distant versus the ones here at Holua cabin. The ones here were aggressive and no fear lol - prob because this is a popular spot where people rest when they do the day hike in the park (sliding sands to halemau’u trail). There is a rule to not feed them but you could tell the Nenes here at Holua have more attention than at the other cabin. Thanks again for always watching! And no that was not me singing haha
