I could not agree more. Her growls melt me! I love her voice, though I'm not much for female singers. Hmm, just noticed that. She moves so easily, 'smoothly', from note to note. And when I anticipate where she is going with a note, sometimes I think she may not quite make it. But never fails. She impresses me several times in every song, not only with her voice, but her onstage presence is sizzlin', screamin' hot! Over the top sexxxy...

This concert transports me back in time to Doug Weston's Troubadour of the 1960's. It reminds me of bar hopping the Sunset strip along with all those other iconic landmarks like the Whiskey-a-go-go. Haley's interpretation of this retro era is spot on right down to her bell bottoms!

Watched the whole thing and what a treat to see Haley just slaying in front of an audience that loved her. With her family and the special guests. Listen to this with some good headphones to really get the raw feel of her singing. Great job Tusk on the video and sound. Also, important! Stay after the credits for a bonus song from Haley!

Look him up, Mike Shapiro has had a great career drumming for big names, and a teacher. Unfortunately he passed away shortly after he was married after the pandemic. He was also Haley’s drummer at the Ribfest show

He was in the Philippines, so it wasn't news you might see in the US. (He'd recently married to a reality show singer of that country, so she was a celebrity there).

@@HaleysTusk wow - that's quite the news you passed on to Haley! Glad he was friends with her mom!! That's awesome!!! It's fun to watch Haley's community of music friends for sure. I was dreaming of my piano teacher the other night - now that I think of it - she actually treated me like a close friend also. It was kind of intense now that I think back - she took me to concerts with her husband who was a University music professor - and she had me turn pages for her at her concerts and even a recording. I hated it!! I was too nervous and bad at it. hahahahaha. Finally after I barely survived my classical piano concert - our relationship was over!! hahaha. But before that - she even let my noise grunge band perform at the Classical music school in her piano recital! After that the music school started teaching "rock" lessons!! Kind of wild. Yeah music community is a serious "social glue" - oh check out this talk on youtube "Music Before Language" by Professor Jerome Lewis - he's an anthropologist!! So cool !! We humans focused on music as the center of our culture from 200,000 years ago!!!! hahahaha.

@@voidisyinyangvoidisyinyang885 Another highlight of the amazing run of experiences that unfortunately ended at the pandemic (I had JUST heard from Haley she was going to issue a 'band' pass for me to video her on her 2020 tour of Europe. I was literally going to be able to video her touring Europe. PLUS, I made it work for $2200 because fans in Europe had places for me to stay so I didn't have to pay for lodging, which is the most expensive thing on any trip). Haley's manager in 2018, before this Troubadour show, hinted he might have something for me at that show when I asked permission. Turned out, Robby Krieger was going to play and he wanted video "Light My Fire", so it was the first time I officially had FULL access, meaning multiple cameras and most importantly an external mic. What you're hearing wasn't from the board, it was from my Zoom external mic. I was supposed to have access to the sound board, but it's always busy before a show so they allowed me access to the closed off balcony w/ my external mic. Luckily, some of TeamHaleyFans flew from Chicago and Texas to help w/ videoing, from stage right and in front of the stage, two cameras from above the stage was me. As soon as the show was over, Haley's manager was already texting me when I can send the video. At that time, my laptop was dying, it would shut off every half hour (I'm not rich :P), and I had to edit using headphones. Plus I couldn't get all the files until 4 am and still had a two hour drive back to where I was staying w/ friends. I stayed up all night, so it was a true blue MIRACLE the video came out as well as it did. We were on SUCH a roll at the end of 2019, so much she offered to give me access to video the 2020 European tour, but the pandemic really effed that up, it's not the same, It's harder to reach Haley now, and I can't be a pest, so I wait for when she's ready to reply again, hopefully soon. Yeah the pandemic has been intense - I gained like 20 pounds. hahaha. Haley doesn't release new material much anymore? I'm glad she's still performing - albeit not as a "tour." I suppose she's doing the L.A. gig scene regularly and it's not listed as a concert venue. Anyway she already has built up an awesome - insert fancy French word - oeuvre - yeah - all her songs back to back is a LOT of music already!! wow. I feel honored to be enjoying her talent. She is such a sweet person - and having her parents play? hahaha. So awesome! It's weird she - she must be married now right? Her partner has my same first name and plays blue keyboard like I used to do - of course he's way better and I wouldn't compare. Still pretty funny. Yeah I actually avoid the city now - big cities - even though I grew up in one. I'm basically waiting for civilization to finish off its collapse. hahaha. I listen to Haley as kind of the end times tunes. I can't get enough of Haley so good though I bought her songs - I can listen to them over and over without feeling guilty. hahahaha. She even gave me a "heart" when I told her what I had done. Still kind of strange she hasn't released new videos - but then again her videos are serious productions. I'm not so much into the visual side of music although obviously they overlap. I miss being immersed in playing music but I do meditation as my music now. The comment about Haley playing "stadiums" was a bit difficult to hear - since her music is too subtle to be appreciated as a huge mass commodity. Of course that would be awesome for her - if that's what she wanted to happen. She reminds me more of like - it's hard to compare her to anyone else since the human voice is so pure in terms of music. She is sharing such intimacy through her voice. I like how someone asked her how she writes songs and she said, "great question" and she said she gets the melody first - after she develops it - then she adds chords and then the lyrics. I think that's a great way to write )right) songs. Still there's a deeper feeling going on behind the singing - her range, and timbre and improvising live. I used to go to a LOT of live music back in the day but it ranged from classical to jazz to avant-garde to noise grunge punk to blues folk - to world music to musicals to church music... yeah I'm not talented even though I performed a classical music concert by memory. hahaha. I guess looking back - I'm glad I survived what I did - that music concert was the scariest moment of my life. hahahaha. Fields Medal Math PRofessor Alain Connes is the ONLY scientist who has figured out the secret truth of music!!! I figured out the same secret he did - only I was a teenager. hahahaha. His talk "Music of Shapes" on youtube goes into the secret in more detail. thanks
