There are five open bookshelves in walking distance from my flat and I frequently get books from them and honestly, some of them are great finds, some are just plain weird and some are disgusting. I don’t know what people do with their books, but the amount of weird sticky spots I found on and in books is very irritating to me. But it’s still fun. Once I found a collection of 12 Agatha Christie books in perfect condition and once I found a collection of 5 books about the former dictator of my country (it was a weirdly sympathetic collection). So it’s always interesting to see which books other people read and which books people want to give away.
