A lot it has to do with material development. Researching and developing lighter, more durable materials, takes awhile. After those materials are developed, manufacturers now have to implement those materials into their products, and possibly make new products based on those materials. What we're seeing more of nowadays, are manufacturers getting more involved in the development of those materials. I had an idea for a belt system, but I doubt anyone would listen to me, or it would criticized for being too heavy.

Have you used the pouch with combloc AK mags yet? I also noticed the MP2s are terrible for combloc AK mags. Wondering if this pouch works for those mags. Thanks.
@xCrimsonxTidex3 жыл бұрын
@@Gio-od7if I haven't had a lot of time with steel mags in the belt mag pouch because the combloc steel is the only exception where I do not use the MP2 inserts for in my D3CR Micros. You can take the MP2 insert out if you need to use combloc steel mags in the SRMP and use the shock cord as retention. The top slab portion protruding perfectly fills the gap below the indexing point of the MP2 and has no room for the insert to pry itself open to allow clearence, thus the combloc steel mag gets stuck. I personally use G-Code Soft-Shell Scorpions for comblock steel mags.

I need some of these. Been having issues with my Esstac's. Basically having to work around the pouches instead of them working around me and I'm so over it. I'm Canadian so mag inserts often don't work well in the cold, they lose their flex and just death grip the magazine. What I excites me about these is the same thing I like about my Haley chest rig. I recently bought the double pistol mag and I gotta say, I'm not a fan. The black rubber material inside is way to "sticky" and it almost keeps you from pulling out the magazine at all. They may have gone a little overboard on the material on both sides. I've been using esstac kiwi's for years and I've never had any issues drawing the mag out. @@casultras1989 maybe not, just thinking through how gear works or could work. I’m mostly throwing out ideas. For all I know that’s probably a bad idea.
@casultras19892 жыл бұрын
@@breakingcomedytv i think it's a bad idea for various reasons. First laser cut improved in years but will always be weaker than a quality stitched molle webbing, that one being also reparable. It particulary tends to get damaged when between 2 hard surfaces (here it'd be kydex insert vs. ground). Probably why ESSTAC choose regular molle webbing on their KYWI mag pouches in the age of highspeed goonsquad gucci laser cut. Second, if worn on your belt, why would you want to add something above a mag pouch ? Molle on Molle always been super bulky and annoying everywhere but on the beltline it's maybe the worst. For heavy needs in ammo, hard-sewn pouches or double-stacked are available and will be more effective after hours (days) fighting and maneuvering. If worn on the chest (here i would understand the need to stack admin or else above mags) i may suggest having mags pouches that can actually protects them from environnement. Going prone, crawling and all the shit can and will damage everything worn directly on your front. The industry unfortunatly tends to marketize gear dedicated to highspeed sof operators, when neither grunts or prepared civilians have this type of needs. Our wars will not last 2 hours with the cover of gunships, helicopters and 75th Ranger. Reject Spiritus, Embrace belt-kits. Focus less on barrel lenght, more on sustainement, comms, community.
