Jaheira doesn't forget, but might briefly leave without her kid as a fakeout to scare the child, if it was too annoying during the shopping. 5. Gale will once again be too orderly most of the time. Sometimes however he gets lost in thought and afterwards presents the child with written apology and a bucket of ice cream as a compensation. 4. Karlach tries her damnest to not forget, but if something grabs her attention and excites her, say the store has discounts on all of her favourite foods she hasn't had in ten years, her chaotic nature can get the better of her. 3. Minthara does shopping as a military raid, she won't forget about the kid, but the child WILL get left behind if it is incapable of keeping up with her. 2. Minsc forgets a kid was with him within fifteen seconds of entering the building. 1. As the commenter above said, Astarion does it on purpose.

Further to Lae'zel being low on the "Iron Throne" list - even if Lae'zel *were* Westerosi, she wouldn't *want* the Iron Throne because fundamentally Lae'zel is incredibly driven but not personally ambitious. I would argue that Wyll and Karlach would actually go out of their way to return unattended empty shopping carts when they see them, so the employees don't have to. Off-topic suggestion: I think you would like the show Babylon 5. It's got everything: character actors in alien prosthetics, a $20 cgi budget, a lizard man and a guy with ancient aliens hair who you WILL want to kiss each other, a russian jewish lesbian who could step on me if she wanted to, a weird number of episodes about medical ethics, and progressive themes that are sometimes conveyed really effectively and sometimes less so. And it's free with ads on roku and tubi. I would absolutely die for a video from you about it in any format but tbh this is also just a sincere recommendation for an underrated thing that I suspect would be 100% up your alley.

13:24 Imma let you finish, but Shart has the best origin of all time. If you're reading this and even remotely interested in her character you gotta try it. Especially if you liked Durge since there's a lot of similarities (amnesiac cultist slowly registering how messed up their lives were and either succumbing to or fighting against the god who's abused them their whole lives). There's so many unique little scenes and surprises to experience. You realize during the run that SH is doubting Shar from the word go, and you get the impression that she's rebelled many times before having her memory wiped over and over again. Shar be YAPPING nonstop in the Gauntlet, but she's also punishing and manipulating you throughout the entire game when you're playing as SH. It's sort of hard to grasp the depth of SH's inner turmoil when all you get is her going "gah, it hurts!!" when the party does something noble. I don't think I even realized in my first playthrough what was triggering the hand pains. The origin expands on it in a big way and makes you appreciate how strong SH is, and how impressive it is that she's still basically a nice, kind (albeit extremely damaged) person. It's kinda embarassing how hard an immortal, all-powerful goddess failed to corrupt this one random half-elf after 40+ yrs. Like get a job, stay away from her!!! Another big reason to play SH is that the Shart/Lae'zal romance makes so much more sense. Playing through SH's romance as Lae'zal makes both of them act wildly out of character. I cannot suspend my disbelief enough to fathom those two being cordial enough in Act 1 to have a romantic evening overlooking a waterfall and having a heart-to-heart about SH's amnesia. In the SH romance, the player character is basically an emotional support dog there to cheer up and validate SH. Lae'zal is more a feral cat you leave food out and go pstpstpst to while she hisses at you. Romancing Lae'zal as SH, however, is just perfect and fits their enemies-to-lovers dynamic so well. It's just so fitting for SH to be like "I'm just gonna just Lae'zal for sex bc I hate her and I'm an edgy Sharran" only to end up being basically married by the end of the game. Bless her heart bc she tries but that girl cannot suppress an emotion to save her life.

Interesting build shenanigans would occur with Zevlor being an already oathbreaker paladin and I think it would be fun if you have to play his character towards regaining his self confidence to actually have him take up his oath. I also think it would be funny to just have the oathbreaker knight have special cutscenes either guiding Zevlor to embrace his oathbreaker status, or even show a softer side and cope with the horrors that likely both of them have experienced.
