Just used some in Charcoal black , and it looks great , it’s Dope paint Magic. Getting rid of the awful wood trim on my door handles around my stereo and my shift knob. Covers excellent and has a really durable surface so far.

Did I just see dirt on your jeep? Love the jeep and the videos. Thanks for this video in particular...i have been looking for something to freshen up the color inside on our half doors. Great videos as always.

Thanks for the great content man. I’m looking for replacement push pins , the pins that keep the door panel mounted to the door , do you perhaps have a picture of these or link to the specs or even better , a link to where I could buy some . Thank you in advance and keep up the great content

This was very useful. I recently bought a used TJ Sahara but after owning a grey interior YJ for many years I really don't feel comfortable with the Camel interior. Would you advise trying to use this stuff to change the color entirely? How durable do you find it? (i.e. how hard is it to put a scratch in it that might show the original color?)
@KyleSVT4 жыл бұрын
It's not super durable. Need to do some retouching since I did this video. But I would keep that tan inteiror. It's my favorite on the saharas and sets it apart and is unique
@tdietz204 жыл бұрын
@@KyleSVT Thanks, that's good to know. You're not the only person who wants me to keep the tan interior, my gf cringes when I mention changing it. I had my simple grey YJ interior for 20 years before it was stolen, and I recently got this 2001 Sahara. I'm still adjusting to more car-like feel of the TJ interior design and the tan makes it feel more foreign. It's not "me" yet but I'll give it time to maybe grow on me. It still doesn't feel like my Jeep yet, but hopefully that will change after I have some sweat equity in it.

If I just want to bring out the color again on my dash and door panels I’ve heard that WD40 works well. What are your thoughts on this?

Idk that doesnt sound like a permanent fix. This however would be the way to go

I’ve heard that the oil in Wd40 degrades plastic 🤷🏽♂️ I know that there is a spray that is good got plastic but I can’t remember it’s like a clear coat

What’s up bro? Great vids. I have an 05 LJ with similarities to your TJ (tire carrier, dirty dog net) and my last car was an 04 mustang lol My question is about using primer. I just picked up some half doors and am about to paint them. Some peeps are swear by spraying primer first. Any thoughts on that? Thanks.
@KyleSVT4 жыл бұрын
Thanks man! Yea I would always use a primer before painting.
Excellent! did one small touch up maybe a year after a waterbottle scratched off some of it when it fell

@@KyleSVT does it chip or rub off or fade? I know it said it etched into the plastic so just wondering if that’s even what it does.
@KyleSVT3 ай бұрын
mine rubbed off on a small spot when a heavy metal water bottle fell on it. It's definitely better than normal spray paint. Mine did not fade. Maybe more coats would be more durable
