Well the only reason we "miss" that time period is due to nostalgia much more than anything. I'm sure many missed the 60's & 70's back then, like we all miss the 80's, and 90's! Funny how few feel the same about the 2000's and 2000-teens, even if we wish we could suddenly go back to them, with all the chaos happening when this decade that sure ended up being a grand sequel to the "Roaring Twenties" started though! I am old enough to know the surprising emotional power of a nostalgic blast from the past. Watching compilations of old 70s commercials often does that for me. Yeah, same here, high school in 1993. I miss the 90s. It was the last decade I was still a kid that was part of the youth culture and lived sorta carefree. Even in 1999, in my early 20s, even though I graduated college, was working and entered the adult world, I still felt like a goofball kid hanging out with friends and stuff after work.

@@spindalis79 Ha! I still remember in the fall of 1992/early 1993, my senior year when bell bottoms and platform shoes came back, most of my class was in absolute horror. What was considered ugly most of our lives was now back as "the style". I think many of us blamed kids your age for style changes. We were still high school kids, but I'd say 80-90% were not in favor of bell bottoms and platform shoes being a thing. If you wore that in 1989 you might get your ass kicked, but suddenly in 1993 it was bad ass.

Adults catered to childhood innocence back then in order to preserve that innocence, and it generally produced better kids. Today, adults expose kids to all sorts of violence, and deginerate songs & movies, which makes kids jaded and despondent at an early age. Kids today dont even have that youthful exuberance they had back in the 80's & early 90's, and the teen suicide rate has steadily risen over the past 30 years. Thats no coincidence. The first commercial isn’t from 93, it’s from around 95-99. The beginning editing Burger King didn’t switch to in the commercials until after mid 90s
