07:20. Don't forget the Ainu (a Japanese minority) were shown in a sympathetic light in the original Gojira. A complete 180 from this film.

Weirdly enough I find the Yeti costume in this worlds better than theor King Kong costume years later. I was pretty impressed by the articulated mask!

The movie is extremely a downer. The girl goes through countless beatings in the film, and then gets dragged into the sulfur pit. She went through hell in the movie. Who would have thought that being eye candy as a coconut bra dancer on Farou Island would have been a better film role for the actress. I like the duology of the reviews. Both cuts of the film are so drastically different it is almost insane to be honest. I don't know if this film, or the different cuts of Varan was more hacked up for American audiences. Nice to see a lot of behind the scenes info and outlining for the movie though. Nice video :)

What's weird is that parts of this movie is very similar to the Dyatlov Pass Incident that happened in Russia a few years later. The local people were even originally accused for the killings. EDIT Russian college students were on a cross country hiking trip through the snowy mountains and disappeared and later found dead. No idea what happened, but some people believe they were killed by a Bigfoot-like creature.

That case has been recently solved New snow simulation provided by Disney's Frozen (Yes, Disney spent so much money on Frozen 2, that their snow moddel was more lifelike and accurate than the ones created at the best universities)

Another theory I heard was they either witnessed or were exposed to a weapons test by the Soviet Union. That theory makes the most sense to me. Though the hikers getting attacked by a Bigfoot/Yeti makes for more action and horror.

I always get weirded out when people refer to this as a "kaiju" film, cause while it's technically a "strange beast", it's presentation would also make Harry and the Henderson's a kaiju film... Is a polar bear a kaiju? An angry elephant? Robert Wadlow on bath salts?
@friendlyneighborhoodkelbea72589 ай бұрын
If it's from japan and has a monster, it's kaiju media.
@szeltovivarsydroxan99443 ай бұрын
Kaiju means monster, what you are inferring are daikaiju, like Godzilla and Rodan, which literally means giant monster.

If half human was bad then why are you pulling a couple of footage from half human up?
