Combine are evil to us, but imagine the shit these "poor dudes" are sent against, against their own will or instincts, purely because some small driver in their cortex forces their body to do it. The Combine must throw their own grunts at all sorts of horrors out there in the universe; who's to say they're not actually fighting a larger scale "good fight", and we're simply another useful soldier species?

@@teaboy301 That it's not abrupt or a distraction, the narrative of "abrupt" and worthless jumpscares. That only good ones aren't, but Jumpscares aren't inherently abrupt, without meaning.

@@harrietr.5073 I'm not entirely sure what your trying to argue, but if I understand correctly, then heres my response. Jumpscares are misunderstood as "good horror" when they aren't. They are often times easily predictable and are used to get a cheap startle out of people randomly. The use of a "jumpscare" in this video feels believable, scary, without feeling cheap and pointless.
