Half life isn't just a game, it's a work of art. A masterpiece, a unforgettable epitome of a fantastic video game. That went down in history and considered by many as the greatest video game of all time. That millions of people worship and gathered an unbreakable community of passionate gamers. Even 15 years later, people still talk about Half life 1 and Half life 2 as if they came out yesterday. This is the reason why i love video games.

I respect your opinion. I can see how someone in 2016 would think they're just ok. But at their times, they were the crown jewels of the gaming industry. Not very many games can change the face of the gaming industry forever, twice. But I understand where you're coming from, they aren't special in 2016 at all. As games in 2016, they're nothing special. Times change, tastes change. But its mainly the legacy it left behind. These games gave birth to so much, I couldn't even imagine explaining it.

I have never been one to award Half Life that much praise, simply thinking it as a rather average game with a standard story.
