The korean version. As a Korean, I can say It's nothing like North Korean. (I know it's a joke.) In fact, it is quite the opposite. The tone of N. Korean announcers is emotional, passionate, and speaks with a strong accent. It's not because of the dialect. They intend it. However, the Korean version of Overwatch Voice feels dehumanized and automated. It has less unnaturalness in speaking compared to the original version.(It's more fluent. As if it's a pre-recorded. When I first played, I knew it was an AI broadcast, but I knew it through context.) But there's an uncanny feeling in the syntax. Unlike the original version, which uses medical terms to make it feel dehumanized, the Korean version has an atmosphere of industrial efficiency, IMO.

Coming from a chinese speaking environment, there is virtually no difference between the traditional and simplified Chinese versions... Only that the traditional chinese version is succinct and less complicated.

The traditional Chinese version is way more professional. The simplified version sounded like someone who just translated the whole thing from other language without localization. Sadly I find it happen quite a lot when it comes to Mainland Chinese localization comparing to HK or Taiwan localization.

Besides the English Overwatch Voice , the French one is very scary and has kinda the same feeling in some French Dubbed Science Fiction movies ( my mother tongue is French and can talk Dutch , Deutsch/German too ) it's so immersive . The German version is heartless . Knowing pretty well that Germans talks harshly together except with their children their language tone change to be very sweet . I would have hoped the Overwatch Voice being more rude and violent and more anti-climatic tone like in WWII era . Russian and Spanish language are excellent . Whereas the Italian language is more laughable .

So many of these lose the unnatural feel found in the original, making it feel like an actual human with emotions speaking rather than an otherworldly power with no emotions speaking. The Spanish one is a good example: right away the speech is much faster and more human, flowing more naturally through the sentence. The English version takes its time and lands every word without any emotion, making it really feel artificial and unnatural.
