how did you know i got obsessed with half-life over the past 2 weeks??????!! Edit: I shall explain stuff, as you don't seem to know exactly whats going on, so. the "Tripods" Are Striders, creatures which were enslaved by by the combine the combine came through a portal, created at black mesa, in an event known as the "Renaissance cascade" (might have spelled that wrong) The headcrabs don't work for the combine, but are deployed by them in "Headcrab shells" to remove large blocks The resistance members don't use bows/knifes. 5:50 that is indeed the size of a headcrab only the combine use stun batons Striders are invincible except for when you use explosions, this resistance team is indeed going to die Striders are sometimes accompanied by hunters, but seeing as you dont have them, i wont count that 10:23 headcrabs can actually be tamed, but only if you remove the little beak which penetrates the skull, this would probably take oblivious grandma at least 2 months or so to get the headcrab tamed, this behavior can be observed in Lamarr. 11:30 headcrabs are blind, so they wouldn't even see the "fake crab" 15:07 the combine most likely flooded the place with Manhacks, which would've killed all resistance member, or the majority, prior. The combine did not come from a hole, as stated before. *(sorry for large rambling, the next part might have minor spoilers, I got all my info off the half-life wiki)* The combine comes from a large tower, named the CITADEL, there's a large portal at the top of it, which the combine come through. also its unlikely that the portal gun would've arrived there for 2 reasons. 1. black mesa is a rival of aperture science, and most likely would have destroyed it, or just wouldn't have cared enough, and the gun would've broke on its way to the city. 2. aperture science is located in America (more specifically Michigan) and all of north America, and south America, is completely abandoned, except for the combine. judging by the events of portal, the portal gun is most likely still located in America, to never be found again.
