You can shoot a grenade over the engineer’s head and save him, just as the door falls open. He does eventually follow, with a bit of persuasion, and you have a band of 4 followers against the black ops.... He’s not much use, though. And the guy with the SAW is a badass, but he tends to wait just behind me. I try to push him into the action, so I can get his SAW without killing him myself (such is my concern for my troops! why am I not an officer?)
