My cousin and I were going to our Grandma's house one night. He only lives about 1.5 miles from her. He was driving and our horses (Grandma's) were running fast down a trail and in front of us. They passed and there was a couple of what looked like dogs chasing them. A couple seconds later we both saw with our own eyes, a half man, half horse chasing after them. We freaked out and hauled az to our Grandma's. I still remember to this day. Just rough I would share. Was off the rez line coming from Holbrook.

the first time i heard about half n half was from the ppl on the Tohono Oodam Rez in southern AZ. that was in 2004. Then when I was with EMS for a few years... like 2010, 2011... Then another story i told from my coworker last year

My dad is from navajo mountain area long time ago he told me he saw a half man half horse in the trees. I wish i vould remmeber the story but i was ypung when he told me. He told me that the half man and half horse had the face of an old man. Thats all i remember.

Thats interesting. I've always been fascinated by Greek mythology ever since I was in the 8th grade. This is the first time I ever heard of a centaur on the Navajo Nation. I'll have to ask around to see if others saw such creatures.

I've heard stories of giant horned snakes, a snake that is referred to as the "never-ending" snake by some Navajo people and giant spiders. And of course of thunder birds also from Navajo people in addition to the run of the mill skinwalker stories. All very intriguing and interesting.

That's crazy the description they gave was the same exact thing I saw and also it was 10 years ago. When I lived near Rainbow valley. My neighbors all had horses and stables. It was my kids father and I leaving work at 4am. Something ran in front of the car it was blur but when it stopped same thing. It stopped turn around and looked at us waving it hair around. long black hair and back eyes I have to admit it was very handsome. The front legs came up like he bucked and took off. For years after that I think it came by the house I would see hoof prints by the house and near windows.

After watching your story about the Centaur on the Navajo Nation, I had posted my comment about a story that happen to my son and I, this occurred at Chuska lake area. After watching this video, this is exactly what I was referring to, it was thickets or trees just like in this video near the lake, where we heard what sounded like a horse, loud hooves and galloping loud at full speed running toward our direction where we were walking. We had to stop immediately and hid down back one of these thicket trees. We could hear coming just behind the thicket trees on the other side of us toward us. This was about 5 pm in the evening, since then, we do not walk near the chuska lake anymore, it is very eerie around there even during the daytime.

Crazy huh?! My dad saw a centaur in jeddito late at night! He said it was knocking on the hogan door. My dad spoke to him in Dine and told him to return to his dimension and was in the wrong world. The centaur left he said. My dad is 95 now. I'll never forget what he told me!

I had an encounter myself, this is over in vanderwagon area, south of Gallup...I was walking on the road at night n could hear a horse in the woods slowly at my pace n would stop when I stopped..I just saw a figure out in the open n was half man half horse...all I could do was pray...

My Dad told me a story about 50- years ago. He was born in Indonesia in the 30s and lived there during the War. So during the Japanese occupation and subsequent war of Independence he lived in Barracks. He recalled a Woman once screaming for everybody to get into their rooms fast. So my Dads family all rushed into their room and locked their doors. In their Barracks was this long Hallway so down this Hallway my Dad heard a clomping of hoofs. Later on the Woman said it was a Half Man Half Goat ( Pan ) that she saw running around. Indonesia has a lot of demons there.

My white friends tend to roll their eyes when I tell them things that have happened to me. I guess we are closer to nature than our counterparts. I have talked to other Asians, Island people Hispanics and they have similar tales. I can see how the Native Americans tend to keep to themselves and not share their stories with Whites.

I had heard of Centaur story near the mesa far out southwest of Albuquerque. So this was told to me by my son's dad. He had a friend tell him this story when they came across a gnn that they wanted to go test out and shoot it off in the desert. This was about 8-9 years ago they were located in the South Valley of Albuquerque like far out near Rio Bravo/Unser area. My son's dad suggested that they should go out further south of 9 mile hill since it pretty much open desert areas. His friend flat out told him Hell noo, that he won't be caught out there again. I guess my ex thought it was drug related gone wrong or other nefarious crime related that happened to him but that guy said no to both of that. He said, he one time came across an SMG that he wants to play with it, without anyone calling the sheriff on him with all that noise that will let off so he went out on his own Southwest of Albuquerque NM near by a Pajarito mesa. his friend was out there for a while and shooting off a couple of rounds and getting low, so he was thinking about coming back into the city. So I guess his friend wasn't in a rush making it on back so he nonchalantly started looking around with another item he had that had a new scope attachment. So him spacing out into his scope he noticed a weird dust trail in the distance. His friend thought it was a dust devil or a gust of wind headed his way but it was a small trail of dirt starting up getting big coming so he knew that something was headed his way.. there was just to much movement and thickets here in there in the way so he decided to look out with his own two eyes instead of the scope there was a small group of coyotes running towards him in his direction. He knew they were coming towards his so he tried to fire off warnings shots near them but they were still consistent with running towards him. He realized that they weren't running towards him they were running away or something else because they ran past him. When he saw them in the distance running away further from him he heard galloping noises running towards him he looked an was frozen from the bottom up. He did not expect to see a half man half horse riding towards him. Some strange appearance he saw looking at the Centaur was first he was rugged looking, naked well chest out and it had industrial like chain around his neck like a thick iron collar with heavy duty iron chain dangling half way mid chest, thick iron band around his 1 side of he's wrist...it was fast, muscular & mad riding towards him he said it yelled at him has he rode close and then his friend got movement of fear that broke his trance and took off running towards his truck. He said he didn't care to pick up the SMG leftovers round that weren't shot off and he pissed himself when he got in the truck he said that Centaur didn't bother to stay around that guy he was still running towards the pack of coyotes so his friend took that opportunity to book it.😅 Yeah fck that! I was shocked to hear that story that he shared with me ,it was something strange. 1 thing that keeps me wondering about this story is who held this Centaur in captive. Why where there iron chains around him? Someone or a military base probably was holding the Centaur captive because it sounded like it escaped from some place controlled and is now roaming free in the desert away from populated areas. To me the only base would be Kirkland Air Force Base on the eastern side of Albuquerque but how would he cross the city and highway without being seen? Idk just something that keeps me wondering. I hope he is still free and wild doing his thing 🐎

My uncle told me a scary story and this one is not a Skinwalker story i don't know where he was at but when he was walking up some hill and he saw something and think he was seeing stuff so he looked at it again and he seen a fog shape as an human running and he said it wasn't no fog it was a ghost running and he said it was gliding not running and he said it had no legs and as he got closer it disappeared.

I remember my grandma telling about my uncle and his friends coming from a game in Chinle heading back to Holbrook when they encountered a two legged horse running along the side of them. I, too, remember something strange from my childhood. Something was coming to our homes late at night. Only the women were home with kids. Everyone was scared and gathered in one home to sleep. This was on my mom’s side. Hoofy incident was on my dad’s side. After we settled down for bed, I realized I was the only one awake. I heard the dogs stirring outside then horse hooves galloping around the one room house. I was about six or seven years old. I heard running up to the front door, like someone was trying to break the door down. Door knob turning back in forth, tapping on the window. I felt like I was being watched or they knew I was awake. I could not wake anyone I was between my cousins. To this day I mentioned what happened no one says anything. I know I didn’t dream it. I forced myself to go to sleep and shut out the sounds I heard that night. I had gone home to my paternal grandmother house, she would not let go back to stay overnight.

Saw the same thing by my mom's house when me and my brother were home. It turns into a mountain lion and horse when I saw it. The messed up part was later on in my life I saw more things like a giant black bird. A deman that looked like me. Until I saw it once more it with a pack of wolves with the same sound as my childhood. By then I didn't care any more until a sky of glowing orbs showed me that they warn me about the things I saw are struggles in my near future. That's my story tell the officer to just look away.

Oh wow! I'm from Utah part of the Rez and I've never heard of this. Altho my late grandmother used to live along the San Juan River, and she use to tell us that she heard "something" down by the river. The thing would eat the cows,or horses. She seen couple of times, what looked like a bad crime scene. Blood and flesh every where of the poor animal. Mostly just bones and skin left. Subscribed for your scary stories 🙂

Yikes, I saw one too. But it was near Deer Valley Airport about 330am. It crossed in front of me. I thought it was a sheep at first but did not get good vibes from it. I know it turn and looked at me on left side of road. I did not make eye contact but could see corner of my eye. Did not want to be hypnotized 😵‍💫 looking into eyes. Please correct me if I am wrong, but I have heard the Skinwalker tradition originated from positive medicine within the Díne community. It was supposedly medicine learned over a very long period of training, that allowed the practitioner to shape shift in order to reach the Sacred Sights scattered across the Reservation quickly, for ceremonial purposes. Another cool one man I like hearing your tales maybe it was an alien from outer space and if you went to boarding school don't be scared. And the fastest way to lose weight is stop eating bread n carbs and do pushups n dips plus a little walking or jogs/ running about 30 minutes a day, oh plus rest. Work out one day next day rest and run the next , and gotta mix it up no patterns an you'll burn fat but at the same time you'll gain muscle n tone. Just remember muscle weights more than fat so your pants well get lose but you'll weight about the same.

Could be they exist where there are a lot of roaming horses 🐎 🤔 to blend in and exist. Plus, it is said they are violent, especially when they drink, which is their weakness. They are considered wild, and they steal women to SA them. When they realize its a man and not female, they don't go through with their kidnapping.

In the bible, Genesis chapter 6... scriptures says that sons of God(rogue fallen angels) took human women and had giant offsprings called Neplilims. They also sinned against the animals causing centaurs and satyrs. This is the reasons for Noah's flood to cleanse the world of the great evil done by the fallen angels. What's left is evil spirits of all sorts roaming the earth...now being used by sorcerers aka skinwalkers(shapeshifters) the ability to shapeshift. Many years back, we witness one walking into church, off the street, at the closing of service. He confessed, lead him in a prayer of repentance and the power of God came on him...he coughed, vomited for awhile and was awesomely delivered. Was full of joy and a slight glow from him. 🤔 ..the glory of God??
