Denny and the guy who shot this movie Billy Clevenger were my dad's two best friends. I love this so much.

Awesome! Thank you very much for this. I know I'm not he only one who just watched while being brought back in time to a place that brought me the most happiness I could have had then, these are the people I wanted to be around, it's who I am today!

This captures it intimately better than almost any film of that era. Thanks for the great film.

Thanks for posting this note, I don't remember Dennis - and I was wondering where he was now. Obviously still hanging out at dirt tracks! :-)

Thanks for posting this. Wonderfully artsy film. Man I look at those old Triumph stamped and bent steel clutch levers and cringe now - if your fingers ever got caught behind those - man they were a goner. Tough men!

Wasn’t quite born yet when this was happening but I remember the San Jose Mile in the early 80’s. Parker was still running 11 and Springer was plagued with that stomach issue. I remember picking numbers out of a hat for the main and my dad staking me for the bets. Had my first sip of beer at the mile. My dad was a junior in 73-74 and made expert (88z) before he quit after I was born. Drove a Dodge Tradesman with glass backs down to Ascot every Friday to race. Still have his leathers and helmet. I met Roberts and Jr at Yamaha Country where my dad was service manager. Rode quads in the parking lot with Jr. Never knew how lucky I was until I got older. Thanks Dad. Love you. RIP.

Yeah, I was wobbly...I will agree there, to go fast at Ascot sometimes you had to hang it out, I've seen lots of crashes there, by the best riders-pretty much everyone crashed there eventually
