Hey Bofur, I've been watching for quite some time now. You initially got me into BGs! With your advice I've been able to get to 7/8k in most seasons since Buddies. However, since this most recent season I've been hard stuck at 5.5k. I was rising pretty decently before the balance but ever since I just get absolutely destroyed early game by boards that have multiple times my stats (taking 9+ as early as turn 5 sometimes). I suppose my question is whether this meta is indeed just a lot more competitive or if I just gotta git gud. (Probably definitely the second, but I feel it can't only be that)

I think theres a bit of a shock at how polarizing early boards can be in this meta. When people get quick power or redeem triples for low tier minions, then they spike massively. And when that's happening games can feel hopeless. That being said, you still have to leverage health as a resource to get your own wincons... since staying low and buying stats is just voluntarily losing. It's a really tough balance and takes quite a few games to get a handle on. I'm struggling with it as well at the moment.

@@bofur That's a bit of a relief to hear. It does of course point out the issues with the nerfs in the meta, beasts got hit hard with the Skyblazer getting destroyed. Which takes them out of the game apart from some Goldrinn highrolls. Dragons are insane tempo with Nightbane. It's all over the place right now, sadly.

This game including traditional hearthstone became a lag fest. We really need a netcode make-over

The heck is netcode? You mean the server-side code? I don't think it's a server side issue, as a lot of the time the lag is resolved by restarting the client right?

yeah it def feels like its compounding over time. I imagine it's a tough fix, otherwise they'd have prioritized it by now...

70 actions mostly right is better than 50 actions perfectly. Which is true. But its the 1 action where the cards change positions and you sell your golden greymane thats the issue. That sort of thing would NEVER HAPPEN IN A POLISHED GAME LIKE THIS.
