All of the members of Queen are awesome. May’s guitar is magical. Roger’s drums are to die for, and John was/is the solid ground, both musically and I think in terms of holding the whole band and all its personalities together.

I recently worked at NIST (NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF STANDARDS & TECHNOLOGY). Basically, they make the standard of weights and measurements around the world. As an admin asst., I was surrounded by some of the world's top biologists, scientists, and physicists. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they are very artistic people. They do it all. They sing, sculpt, paint, cook, play instruments, make their own (excellent) beer, the list doesn't end. They're not just nerds, they're humans. 🤓😍

Queen's set at the Live Aid performance in 1985 is regarded as the best live set in music EVER, and called "20 minutes that changed rock history." You should also check out "Somebody to Love" live in Montreal 1981 for an awesome performance,,,particularly when you realize no autotune, no lip-sync, etc. Just four guys singing and playing their own instruments.

@stevenmorris1986

It literally warms my heart to see people watch this. Arguably the best piece of music the UK ever produced. Once you know the background to this song too. Freddie Mercury died of aids and whilst this song sounds like it's written about that, it was written prior to him falling sick and being diagnosed. Freddie Mercury struggled with his sexuality and this is allegedly about the death of his old self and coming out as gay. If you think the music has levels, the lyrics have a whole new dimension!

Yeah, after hearing this over and over again, I think it starts out as a suicide note because the character is gay. The person he killed is himself. He is challenged by the "gods" as gay after his death in the second part and they deny him. and the third part is his "fuck you" to all that shit.

Oh my goodness I did NOT even realize y'all hadn't reacted to this yet. This song is what instantly drew me to Mr Video a few months ago & started my addiction to reaction videos. I cannot tell you how HAPPY this makes me 😁😁😁😁😁Love love love Queen & this is THE Queen song. The lead singer is Freddie Mercury & he is 🔥🔥🔥 I love him so much I named a sassy cat Freddie 😼Unfortunately, Freddie died of AIDS (one of the first known celebrities to be taken by that terrible disease). Have I mentioned how HAPPY I am watching y'all react to this?! OMG I could keep blabbering forever 😅I'm going to watch it again when it's over. Love y'all 💞💞💞💞💞

Long live the relevance of Freddie Mercury's mastercraft talent as a showman, show writer and his position as the GOAT singer for the ages that even when equal skills like range of pure octaves and level of note articulation, his voices power through emotion is a signature that we never have and likely won't in our lifetime so many thanks to Freddie and I'm sorry Michael your were great and definitely the GOAT at turning everything he touched to gold making him the most popular singer & entertainer ever between moon walking and the glove, but even Mikey couldn't hang with Freddie's use of his vocal instrument!!!

I’ve been a fan since 1974. This came out in 75 & is the first music video to promote a song. Queen are credited in starting MTV. This band is legendary all 4 wrote hit songs & all had collage degrees. Freddie Mercury greatest frontman/vocalist of all time, degree in graphic design. Died in 91 from aids. Dr Brian May PHD in Astrophysics works with NASA/ guitarist/vocals. Made with his Dad at 17 his own guitar still plays it in his 70’s. Roger Tayler drummer/vocals degree in Biology in 70’s. John Deacon bass/ degree in electronic engineer now retired. Brian & Roger still tour with Adam Lambert. There is no gene you can put them in cause they have done it all. Should do more songs & you’ll see there music is diverse. Most people do Sombody to Love 81 Montreal to start with. You really need headphones to listen to them. They are a great live band so you should do both. Ps Queen doesn’t block there videos. 👑👑👑👑

This is about a man facing execution in the morning and has to cope with the idea he is about to do. The song is incredibly complex and goes through many transitions. To make this song no a days would be near impossible. The man was a genius and had the whole song laid out in his head. It combines something like 24 tracks perfectly synchronized. The lyrics are actually pretty simple and do not progress, but instead the music progresses and changes as he goes though different levels of blame, acceptance, fear, an sadness about his impending death. There is a video about the making of this song and it is well worth watching. Think, this song is almost 50 years old (1975).

No it isn't . The song was about Freddie coming to terms with his sexuality. When he says he '' Killed a man'' he means he is getting rid of the man that used to pretend to be straight, and is going, in future, to be himself, a gay man.
@toddabbott781
@toddabbott781 2 жыл бұрын
@@goldylocks3904 Metaphorically yes. I was talking about the literally meaning of what he was talking about. The fact that he was comparing the two shows how messed up he was about it. I also thought the way they worded... "Put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, Now he's dead" Nobody says pulled MY trigger, I always though it more likely it was not a gun he was taking about and his "trigger" referred to him... ejaculating. I just find it ironic as this song was released in 1975, he got AIDS in 1987 and dies in 1991 from it. This would make his... gun more lethal than he knew...
