fun fact, most oil import fo the US WAS from Saudia as they signed a deal that Saudia has to export it's oil to meet US demand first. hence US wars in the middle east wasn't as much grabbing oil as it was ensuring continuous supply. second fun fact: the US is currently self sufficient in oil produce domestically

@@gargravarr2 No thanks, we already have Rockall, a storm swept, Gordforsaken, lump of granite in the North Atlantic occupied by a few skuas - and so devoid of anything useful that its name could have been deliberately chosen to rhyme with something else! 🤔 Britain's territorial claim is disputed by the immediate neighbours (Ireland and Iceland) but as 1. The relationship between these three is somewhat friendlier than certain other parties. And 2. Neither Ireland nor Iceland claim any interest in Rockall. then the dispute over the "territory" extends no further than occasional jokes.

@Nekomikuri
@Nekomikuri 4 жыл бұрын
@LoverOfQueenAndBeaver this is such a stupid comment and comparison. Japan built around this island to keep it safe and secure their economic zone. Nobody really cares because they're not disputing others territory. Of course America or other nations won't get involved. China, unlike Japan, is claiming a huge amount of territory of so many other nations, and to enforce their claim, they are building and expanding the islands. Of course this would get people interested and involved, because this is a conflict unlike Japan. For china to then try and identify what is and isn't a rock, despite they themselves using reclamation to enforce their territory, is hypocritical. There's no protest against Japan, because they're not building it on disputed land. There is protest and rightful resentment against china, because they are using these island claims in disputed territory to agressively further their agenda.
