The Hits - Final Closedown (15th August 2008)

This is the final moments of The Hits music channel and they signed off in style playing out with Thank You For The Music by Abba. Unfortunately the Virgin feed was having some technical issues on the playout so the picture keeps freezing and lagging. But given how rare this is, i thought i'd share anyway.
After they ceased broadcast, promos for 4Music (it's replacement) kicked in straight after, and would launch the following evening.

The Hits launched in 2002 and was one of the better music channels, playing a wide variety of genres. It ran for 6 years and is still fondly remembered.

@@RobloxHits2024 Then Box Hits was rebranded 4 Music at the same time so technically it remained but is closing down on 30th June 2024.

This is exactly why DVB-S is more versatile, durable and less prone to corruption compared to DVB-C. Pretty disappointed that this video was recorded from a DVB-C source and not DVB-S, but whatever.
