You were lucky leaving that indicator on passing that left side road lol

I can't remember it as it was quite some time ago, but yes it can be very dangerous if the driver coming out does not wait to make sure you're turning, or don't judge your speed and realise you might not be intending to.

I like that Watton road, especially once you get the other side of Watton, some great sweeping bends.

I ended up going through Brandon (I think lol) and out that way, then all the way home on the dual carriageways, was a nice ride.

Audio is pretty good 👌 chin curtain will probably help with some of the wind. Nice find on the helmet!
@HalfdeadRider5 жыл бұрын
Thanks for coming by and for your comment Kari, I'll keep looking for a chin curtain. I will try and stop the whistle with a small strip of rubber seal for car doors/windows with 3M backing tape, maybe I could make my own chin curtain with some ha!

Brilliant angle, I use the audio technica lavaliere mic and it's brilliant at all speeds. Not too expensive either 😉

I think it's the GoPro mic adaptor mate, I had the issue for a bit on my old helmet, going to try and fix the issue sometime and the whistling visor. The angle is a slight lie lol, I have to straighten it in post, welcome to my channel and thanks for watching and commenting.

Nice, the closest I've been is Coventry a couple of times, had a mate who came from Coventry and drove to Birmingham for an interview quite a few years back too. Could work something out probably, on a good day I'd be up for the ride, or a half way meet if we think of something to do or find some roads good for an adventure.

I can't work out how the visor mount works on mine. I was hoping I don't have to use a screwdriver. Can you tell me if there's a quick release? I have an open face version.
@HalfdeadRider4 жыл бұрын
It's actually very simple to do. Open the visor, with one finger push down the "release button" just under the visor mounting area, pull down slightly and away. To put back in, you pull down the release button and fit the top tab at angle and it will go into place, then just release the button. I hope that is clear enough, I had to go check as I've not used mine in quite some time. Thanks 👍

@@HalfdeadRider ahh my old lazer has that system but this leopard does not. instead it has a "dial" that says open and close on it but doesn't seem to do anything to release the visor. there's no button of any kind to play with :( Thanks for replying.

@@HalfdeadRider so, funny story. I went out to work after messaging you and messing with my visor mounts. I thought I'd locked them again. Apparently not! My visor sprung off right in front of a customer. I Caught it so no scratches.. but red face for sure. At least I know how to remove my visor for proper cleaning now.

Find the quiet roads, you'll be ok, sometimes 125's are at ride outs too, ones I've seen on here, not been to one myself yet, most run by decent people take care and keep at speed limits to not lose you. Be safe, we lost a young biker just yesterday up north.

Jismy :D you’ll be fine at a bike meet on a 125, everyone there will have had to start on a smaller bike, I did an I’m over 60.

Hi mate are you still using the Sony mic? Only ask because mine crackles at higher speeds, I use blue tack to hold the mic plug in the adapter, but I think the mic is to sensitive really. Nice long ride out you had there I’m waiting for it to warm up a bit 😂😂
@HalfdeadRider5 жыл бұрын
My mic's 3.5inch connector (the Sony stereo one still) is glued in place with sugru, same as I have holding the mic inside the front of the helmet and my GoPro mount. The crackling is most likely from the adaptor where it goes into the USB C on the camera, I'm going to try an elastic band on it as I need to remove it to take the camera off, if it works I'll see if I can buy some black elastic bands so it does not look so poop. It was a nice long ride, this was less than half of it in the end lol, when I found the dual carriageway I was 35 miles from home, should hopefully have a video out of the footage, I'll probably get it all ready to upload Monday.
@easternmenace5 жыл бұрын
Yeah you can hear that whistling but otherwise it's alright. The microphone still doesn't like you going fast lol
@HalfdeadRider5 жыл бұрын
No it doesn't like going fast lol, the mic adaptor is the cause of the crackling, I used some of the sugru to hold in the mic. I might try and use an elastic band or something to hold the mic adapter end more steady. Thanks Eastern Menace 👍
