I've been going to Fort Baker Pier in SF to fish and crab. Any other location specifically you would recommend checking out? SF?Pacifica?Monterrey?Half Moon Bay?

Just an fyi when using a sabiki in the bay you're still only allowed to use 3 hooks.

that is false. if your getting bait u can use the full sabiki rig. if you catch a fish that is a sport fish on a sabiki you have to release it.

Where can I get live anchovies in the Bay Area ?

You can get live anchovies at fisherman’s warf, the boats at the docks early in the morning. Also you can get at the bait n tackle shop by the Pacifica pier off the freeway

Is that rod holder your own contraption or can you purchase it? Also, do you have to pay to get into this location? I thought this was a parking lot.

You can buy the rod holders online or in tackle stores. Sometimes they make you pay, sometimes they don’t, I usually walk in to avoid the trouble

The two rod stamp is only for freshwater. You’re allowed to use two rods without a license on jetties and fishing piers even in the bay. Not sure about a pier like in this video though.

This is what the current CA f&g website says 2024: Allows a person to fish with two rods or lines in inland waters, except for waters in which only artificial lures or barbless hooks may be used. Note: A Second Rod Validation is not required when fishing in ocean waters as defined in CCR, Title 14, Section 27.00. For general fishing gear restrictions in ocean waters, please refer to CCR, Title 14, Section 28.65.

If the bay is considered inland, the we need 2nd rod stamp. If the bay is considered ocean, 2nd rod stamp is not required. Good question for the f&g.
