the miracle and beauty of classical music is that it connects all people together, it just connects all religious, races, differences between people and binds it together which is a miraculous effect

@KossolaxtheForesworn Жыл бұрын
it can be both. personal freedom often follows disregarding other human interaction. people move into middle of nowhere to live in small cabins, not talking to anyone for months on end except maybe their dog, because they desire to be free of the world. which is of course followed by loneliness, or alternatively preference to stay exactly where you are and lack of not only motivation but even desire to interact with others.

My father Buell Neidlinger had classical music festivals at his home and I was the only audience member. He was a brilliant Cellist and Bassist. Allan Vogel was on Oboe and he played Bach Piano for me. My father used to smoke a joint on the weekend and play the first Bach Cello Suite for me. That is such a treasured memory.

In my childhood, I went to a piano academy in front of my house. There, always the sound of the piano could be heard through the cracks in the window. Chopin, Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, etc... It was as if the town was overflowing with vitality. The songs that stayed by my side until the night to finish practicing the piano, when I went home, on a rainy day, when I went home through the road next to the academy, the songs that were always by my side when I was in elementary student. Watching this video makes me feel like I was facing my childhood. thank you

Began the study of Chopin when an arriviste Grandfather bought me a Wurlitzer baby grand one cold day in '58. With little or no discipline, poor timing, but an entertainer teacher was able to memorize several waltzes before he quit in disgust - I wasn't practicing. Much less idle in the 90's going back over this repertoire first renting a spinet then buying a Roland digital piano. It sounded better when I didn't drink and it began a success story that is owed in part to those early lessons. Chopin the savior of humanity.

Chopin, unlike many other greats, has a magical casting that always keeps me occupied with his music. The tenderness from his piece of art shows me the profoundness of solitude, which one can only attain by staying alone at night. The moonlight, as always, resonates quietly with his Nocturnes... Listening to this really makes my heart flatter ,Chopin's music always fills my mind with memories. I remember her beautiful smile under the night sky lit by stars, a worthless conversation filled with her melodic laughter and giggles that make my heart skip a bit. I remember Her black eyes that seem to reflect the moon and her dark hair that was resting on her shoulders. How could you fall in love with someone that you spoke only once ? In the next months through mutual friends I got to know her better . She was social and friendly, despite how introverted someone is , she could make anyone open up. Maybe that was the case with me , everytime we've talked my heart was singing great melodies, is this what liking someone is? The summer went by and the cold winter brought happy memories and stressfull nights, the dark nights and freezing temperatures gave birth to a sense of loneliness that only she could melt. Her soft voice , the way she ate , her beautiful small frame and her helpless clumsiness all made me like her even more. Listening to music and thinking of her became a daily activity. We continued to meet with our friend groups at a local cafe . I always sat close to the window gazing at the cars passing by and the different kinds of plants that decorated the cafe's entrance. Occasionally we would make eye contact and my mind would go blank for a second. The spring came fast and plants and diferent kinds of flowers were blossoming everywhere. The refreshing spring breeze washed away any stressfull responsibilities and since the school exams came to an end we were meeting more often. We were spending time talking with our friends at a hill overlooking the lively city, laughing with old stories from our past at her house's roof, drinking at parties, smoking big cigars at rare occasions. I ve never spent time with her all alone but her presence made any kind of activity enjoyable. I loved her. She had a unique name and the most beautiful face I had ever seen . Her beauty couldn't be captured by a painting made by the most talented artists. The army took me away and only pictures and vague memories remained of her. Yes Chopin's music makes me relive my first love.

His music makes me feel emotions that I have never felt before nor do I fully, or will ever, understand. Something like melancholy and longing mixed with unfathomable beauty , warmth, and the essence of unconditional love. I think of when I was a young and curious child at the age of 8 or 10 and wrapped in a blanket and staring into our quaint fireplace at the only house I ever considered my home all those years ago. My mother and father and brother by the fire next to our little christmas tree. Our little nintendo that we cherished and played constantly, turned off as well as the TV so we could watch that fire burning and just...talk. I can almost smell it as I type this; Marlboro cigarette smoke clinging to my father's old jacket as he hauled more firewood inside with the cold still sticking to him and he would comment on how well the fire looks...and my mother's smile as she gave us icecream and warm cocoa and hugs and my older brother trying to learn guitar while I drew pictures for mom...just scribbles but she loved them..."my little artist" she would smile and say so that is what I eventually became and my foolish and childish scribbles eventually became magnificent. I think of all those nights filled with music and family dinner at our wooden dinner table and the candles my mother would light and after dinner mom would clean and my brother would be in his room but I would stay and watch my father sip red wine and smoke his cigarettes and I would ask my father every question I could think of for my curiosity was never satisfied... from science and how the natural world works, to war and geopolitics and the history of earth and the great men who had lived before me and all the knowledge such an intelligent and worldly man could share until the candles melted all away. Now I am 35 and I sit in my art studio in a much different yet larger house, my father sits in the dining room watching film noir on his ipad and my brother is across town and rarely visits us but has his own family now, and my mother...far too far away with a new life and husband in her cabin and I am truly glad she is happy...but I am so very grateful to still be able to sit with my father and ask him all the questions I desire and hear his intelligent answers as we smoke together after dinner like old times. He has cancer now so I live with him to take care of him as any child should do for their parents and I cherish every day I have with him, even the hard ones. He showed me Beethoven when I was a child and so much more music as i grew up. I showed him Chopin. He taught me guitar and how to sing and write songs and perform and all his wisdom and experience and wonderous adventures my 73 year old father had to share of all his wild travels living in a van and driving around california and playing gigs long ago during a time I will never understand...all of this knowledge has made me into a person that he is proud of. All I ever wanted was him to be truly proud of me and see me as an equal and now I think he does. Even today he tells me a new story I had never heard every now and again about his life as an engineer, salesman, and traveling musician throughout the 60's 70's and 80's. It's getting late right now and here I sit listening to Chopin and I feel so many mixed emotions from sorrow to endless joy to awe and I feel like I already miss something that has never left and I long for it back before it is even gone. I reminisce on my childhood home which had burnt to the ground some years ago, I remember standing on the ashes and ruin. Everywhere else I laid my head has just felt like a hotel to me...some cheap imitation of home...even here in our new home, but as long as I am with my father, even if it's not for much longer, I still have that warmth inside me of Christmases and birthdays and dinners from a time when there was no suffering or pain or loss and love and learning was all around me as was music and it was all I had ever known in my blessed childhood. I will never lose these gifts and these memories and all the wisdom I had gained. Someday I will feel that vague feeling of home again when I have my own children or even just my nieces and nephews and I will be the one coming in from the cold, smelling of marlboros with wood slung over my shoulder and stories to tell of my adventures and I will share all my wisdom of the world and all of his stories, the adventures and values of a man far greater than I who lived long ago when the world was so different and men and woman of greatness walked the streets and many were cut from a different cloth from a different time and had values and ideals that far too many have forgotten or simply never heard of. These great men and woman will soon be reduced to just old memories but I will try and tell the young ones about them and hope my words can do justice to their legacy and...if I should be the luckiest man on earth... for one perfect moment... I will finally be home again. I hope everyone here finds their own way home as well and all the love and warmth that comes with such a vague and yet crucial concept, even for just a moment. It is something we all are entitled too even if we find ourselves alone there is still love to be found in solitude, buried deep inside us all and we all deserve at least that much. Unfathomably lucky are those who get to experience perfect little moments like the ones I cherish for those are all we get and blessed are those who are allowed the sweet privilege to share those moments with ones they love. It is a tragedy that when these moments happen you only realize how perfect they were once they are gone. Be present for not to miss such beauty. Cherish them and remember to give all your love to this world, even to strangers, and teach the little ones who dare listen with wide eyes as the candles burn away the night and nourish their thirst for wisdom as this is the finest and purest form of education. All of the sweetness and warmth you offer will return to you for all truly good things find their way back home, where it all started, wherever that may be. May the essence of love, the force equal to even god, find you and bless you as it has for me. Goodnight, I truly love you all.

hey you! if your feeling overwhelmed, thats okay. Try setting a 5 minute 'Exposure timer'. Part of any fear response in life can be diminished through exposing ourself to the thing we are avoiding, even in the smallest increments; you start at the smallest diving board before jumping off the top one right? Use this to face, head on, the document, inbox, powerpoint or reading that is calling for your attention.. Gaze at it with compassion, even if you feel a hundred daggers, notice them objectively and view it for 5 minutes. Good luck!

Thank you, life has been hell for the past few months, got broken up with, graduated then had some bills from an accident a year ago pop up with a collections agency, since they didn't ask me for my billing and insurance when I went into the ER, then started community college and have been trying to figure out the work, all while dealing with all of that. It's been hell and honestly feels like I am backed into a corner with a giant wall in my way, but taking things one at a time, trying to find work currently, gonna try to do walk in applications tomorrow since online searching isn't working for me. Listening to this video while cramming out a two page essay for English that is due tomorrow, lmao.
