A similar type of story and drama happened in Jammu city (Jammu Kashmir) in 90s. The actress who played the role of Site Mata in Ramayana came to visit Jammu and when she arrived in city she wore some dress which was showing her body and flesh upto some extent. I belive this was her choice and as men we should have respected her decision. However, the men and women in city went crazy and there was a huge protest against her. Then someone from her crew suggested her to wear a Saari and some jewellery that can potray her like Maa Sita (as in Ramayana). Than, the people who were protesting against her came to their senses and touched her feet and she actually blessed them (gave them her aashirwaad). Then she went back to Delhi and never came to Jammu again.
