Hi Sir, Thank you for your video. Here are couple notes: 3144 - is digital unipolar (not linear). And exist 3rd digital type is omnipolar - it same as unipolar but work with both poles (without lock like in bipolar).

Can you please guide me about SS341RT, SS343RT and SS349RT sensors. I need that one which blocks the current in the presence of magnetic field(any north or south) but allows current to pass in absence of magnetic field.
@ingenium22292 жыл бұрын
It should not stay locked like say when magnet is first brought near the sensor and it blocks the current and when magnet is taken away sensor remains off till the other pole is brought near it.
@kiyashko862 жыл бұрын
@@ingenium2229 No sure what question or problem do you have. It isn't a resistor, it is sensor with output. If you need inverted output - make it by transistor or code. You can try to find inverted ones (for example hall sensors in fan have both positive and negative outputs).

I have the 3144 sensor module which has a voltage comparator and 4 pins output( vcc, gnd, Analog, digital) . when I connect the analog output pin to Arduino A0, and place magnet near it, I don't get linear values. its either 1024 or 0 . And It responds to only one pole of the magnet so yeah maybe 3144 is a digital unipolar sensor. The sensor I have has 3144 58881 written on it.

Al, thank you for the enjoyable Hall Effect Sensor treatise. I can tell that you spend time in the shop around machines. Your hands are a dead give away. They look like mine!😊 By the way. Open Collector Outputs don't actually require a pull-up resistor to work. After all , they're a Sinking Output. Wakodahatchee Chris

Hello, I have the 3144 and also ss41f sensors, I want to measure distance precisely between the magnet and sensor but the output of the hall sensor doesn't seem correlated to the distance of the magnet, what am I doing wrong? this is an arduino project and the analog output from the sensor looks like a slow sine wave when the magnetic field is constant, Is this normal?
@ehaaron Жыл бұрын
seems like the 3144 sensors are digital sensors and not analog. therefore they don't give linear output.

Hallo, super Video.

☠️ I've been experiencing extremely dangerous episodes of the motor not stopping on ebike as soon as I turn the throttle , related to high humidity conditions ! I think it's because the humidity increases conductivity of the hall sensors in the throttle . can you recommend a good throttle ? I think the manufacturers are going to have to make them water proof. I experienced the same issue with a different throttle , battery and controller. just using the bike after a rain storm is enough to cause the issue. We must have a throttle will a switch to cut power ! ☠️ Also stop using hot glue on the Hall sensors ! It melts were I live ! And make the throttle not Fall apart so easy , and they need to be made with softer grips or made to accept normal grip's.
@kennedy69712 жыл бұрын
For the sake of safety you should have your brake sensors connected to the controller. That way by pulling the brakes you automatically cut off the power to motor via the controller. Without them connected your only a bad throttle away from possible crash/injury.. throttles can stick on any vehicle. Everyone should have a plan if that happens.
@jacobclark892 жыл бұрын
@@kennedy6971 Interesting idea thanks ! The switches I had on the master cylinder were poor quality , there is a small amount of play when squeezing the brake lever before it engages , some times I squeeze the lever a little if there is a high probability that I will have to brake , to reduce lag time, if the switch is not adjustable it will be a problem.
