Back in 1975 I slowed danced with a beautiful redhead that I knew in passing from school. I had no idea why she asked me to dance. Hall and Oates Sara smile was the jam. Her name was Sarah. Everyone was watching us. I looked down at her and she pressed her face into my shoulder. We never said a word. It was a fifties dance. We were alone in the middle of the gym. We "dated" after that, but I was too young to understand what a special woman she was and still is. I ended up enlisting in the Army as a combat medic, life went on after the first Gul war, and years later, I found this video and the memories of something I had not thought about for so long came back. I was and still am in love with you Sarah. I will never forget you.

When I was a kid everytime someone at that playground would hit a home run there was a dude there who would start singing this song. Great video. Thanks for helping me rediscover so much music from my childhood.

This was my first introduction to the soulful sound of Hall & Oates. I heard this song on a "booze cruise" in the Islands of Hawaii. So, whenever I hear this, it takes me back to that lovely, heavenly evening in the Islands. Everything H&O did was magic. React to "Say it Isn't So" - kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYOYqXyajdyBg80

Hall and Oates was THE pop duo of the 70s and 80s. They were the best selling duo of the 80s! Such a long string of beautiful hits!! As a woman, I love this music. Play these tunes and I melt! 💋💋

It’s hard to pick a favorite Hall and Oates song but I think this is it. Cool beat, slow build, amazing harmonies, great lyrics and powerful emotions all around. A++ for sure. Thanks for the great reaction 🙏🏻

As usual... brilliant reaction and analysis. I just went through a divorce after 31 years of marriage. Almost half my life! I was crying and laughing at the same time during this! The laughter is from Jamel and his reaction. The crying? Need I say more...

I loved John Oates' voice. It's too bad he got pushed off the mic.
@jackarmstrong18383 жыл бұрын
He didnt get pushed off the mic. He sings harmony in most of their songs, and occasionally takes the lead. John's famous quote is-" I am the highest paid backup singer in history."
@decacards52502 жыл бұрын
@V P Listen to their 'Alone Too Long', John does a job on that song.

Their whole show from the 1985 Liberty Concert, a week before Live Aid, captures them at their absolute peak as a live band! T-Bone on Bass, Charlie Dechant, the most charismatic Sax player ever, and G.E. Smith on lead guitar is a God! My Dad taped the original TV broadcast and I watched it religiously as a kid! It was such an important live show that helped shaped my music taste as a then 5 year old! Thank god KZbin has been able to revive shows like that! Absolute stellar performances of so many of their hits, but their version of You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling from that show is incredible!
