I grew up on Tony, his columns in the Province were a must read every day. Vancouver legend.

Tony carved a legacy that I enjoyed very much. Verbose and opinionated, he somehow became endearing. Appreciate seeing you again Tony!

I still have several t-shirts that I won in the 80s & 90s from Tony's radio show, " Gallagher On Sports:

A real difference between Tony and Neil is that Tony had to personally go into the dressing rooms and rinks and face the guys he was critiquing, while McCrae safely lobbed criticisms from the safety of the CKNW studios. It was a privilege proofing his copy back in an era when sports desks actually employed decent numbers. Always love to hear Tony talk hockey.

ugh Neil was a cancer to the industry I mean I really disliked the mans style

loving the shout out to Canucks culture, with Larscheid and Gallager, and an acknowledgment of the culture of this franchise. Great work gents

When I was about 8 yrs old at one of the Canucks games I attended a fan yelled out after Vancouver received a penalty "The ref is blind in 1 eye and can't see out of the other!!" I thought was comment was so funny & intelligent ... BUT TG with the Helen Keller reference ... Mike Drop!! His disputes with Burkie and others are legendary. Thx Sekeres & Price for this interview I shared it to my Canucks Twitter followers. Its Fantastic to hear his voice again🙂

Ahhh TG. What a legend. The rest of this podcast with Tommy Larscheid and BMac was just gold.

Talk radio that can breathe! Very grateful for this content. Great to hear from Tony. So who gets the credits for his kids success? Ask him if he wants to do a talk show with Dan Russell. Imagine that!

Should have had Brian Burke in the chair beside Tony. Maybe a couple of boxing gloves.

probably the funniest moment i've ever heard on radio was Tony in his car doing a hit on Team1040 - and he got a parking ticket. LOL oh man

This is great background on the Quinngate and Bure stories. That might also explain why the nhl under Bettman has always tilted the ice against the canucks at every opportunity. Seems like thus could've an iceberg situation and that we are only seeing the tip of the iceberg on the nhl corruption under Bettman. Hmmm. When will a Canadian team next win a Stanley Cup? I think my handle gives you my opinion.

@@SekeresPrice Boo hoo. You hurt my feelings. LOL! What a clownish reply: as if it were a real-time conversation. Had to be Sekeres. Oh, yeah ... didn't watch/listen to TG. Why don't you ask Dan Russell? Then, I'll listen.
