A big part of Kenny Lofton's HOF snub was that the 2013 ballot was insanely crowded - to the extent that nobody got in from the BBWAA ballot. He kinda fell victim to unfortunate timing with 'strategic' voting. If it were a different year, he'd certainly at least get enough votes to stay on the ballot. Not a 1st ballot guy, but he 100% deserved more consideration.

Lorenzo Neal, a fullback, should get a look. His individual stats are not very impressive because he was a blocking fullback but when you look at how many half backs had pro bowl caliber seasons with him leading the charge you may reconsider his candidacy for the Hall of Fame. Fullback is an underappreciated position and him being an elite blocking fullback means he goes completely unnoticed unless he was on your team. I really think that he deserves recognition for what he was able to do.

The real reason why Lavonte, David never made more pro bowls is because the league loves over rating, certain types of linebackers and not rewarding guys who actually are consistently playing at elite level. If you look at his pro football grades compared to Luke Keeley, Bobby Wagner, he is the third best linebacker of his era plus he does have more proteins, if you consider his PFF awards edit: also we have to say this in the 2010s the pro bowl is the most overrated award in the NFL because we have examples of guys who make the all pro team not make the pro bowl that’s how much bullshit that award is

@fortynights15132 ай бұрын
In the case of Hester, the argument (whether you agree with it or not) is that some say he was the best kick returner ever. I don’t know if I’d put Hester in, but six competent years wouldn’t exactly make an argument for the best at any position in my opinion.

Bill Walton was Jokic of the 1970s. He had a legendary collage career, and coming after Wilt, Russell, and Kareem, had an all around game that made him elite. Given that college careers are factored in, I would say Carmelo makes it. Wasn’t he the best player on a team that won March Madness?

Gotta remember that Aikman’s TD numbers were highly deflated due to Jimmy Johnson running game in the red zone. Same thing happened to Marino when he went there. Aikman coulda thrown for 25-30 TDs a year if they needed him to.

Thurmon Munson was the 2nd best catcher of the 70s, yes even better than Carlton Fisk if you measure on WAR. I'd argue his numbers were already good enough for Cooperstown before his untimely death in 1979, so the fact that the Veterans Commitee puts inferior catchers like Ted Simmons in before him baffles me.

Thank you for getting to David Wright, now do Keith Hernandez! It's criminal how he's not in the Hall of Fame

Cunningham and McNabb should get in before McNair. Im actually not sure why Cunningham isnt in the hall of fame. maybe longevity?

I feel if the Vikings go to the Super Bowl that 15-1 season Cunningham would be considered closer to HOF.

Davante Adams and Mike Evans- if they retired today, are they HOFers?!

Antonio Gates, to me missing as a first ballot is mind boggling especially since Hester made it over him
